2000 x1 runs great idles around 1300rpm but after about 15 minutes of riding when I come to a stop the rpms slowly climb to 2000 and will stay there until I slowly let the clutch out to bog it down but the rpms just come right back up. Any ideas? |

Yup... same problem I have and will fix when spring finally comes to the Northeast...It's probably leaky intake seals...they cause a lean condition which results in a high idle after the bike warms..just like you describe.. Check out American sport bike for the seals and the allen wrench tool to make the install easier. |

Whens the last time the bike(s) got a proper TPS reset and idle speed adjustment? |

It was fully dyno-tuned last year and is using a custom ecm spy map. |

Idle too high causing it to hang, should be about 1050 hot. |

What Jim said. Lower the idle a little before doing anything else. The intake seal and/or injector o-rings would be next. |

I would start with a TPS reset and set the idle at 1050 with a warm engine. |

Concur, though I find that 950-1000 is a better idle RPM. Seems to settle down better. |

Correction it idles right at 1000, i took a short ride this morning, but it didn't stay there once it fully warmed up. |

In that case, test your intake seals for leaks. Propane gas is a clean way of testing to see if the engine speed changes. Keep the nozzle close to the gap between the flange and the head. |

It should idle at 1000 when fully warmed up. Adjust your idle. |

Adjust your idle and set the TPS when it is HOT. If you do a cold reset, you can get these symptoms. 900 is low. Think "oil circulation". Remember - oil is not only a lubricant, but also the cooling system. |
