John, that'd be Johnnie's bike. He sent us a picture yesterday showing that the M2 is pulling a bit different duty this season.

blast from the past...1999? or 2000? Frankie "toyracer" Crane on the way back from the world superbike races at Laguna Seca got a whole bunch pics of that era, just got to shrink them down. |

Hey V2win...That packing job actually made the pages of "Fuell" magazine. Aaron Stevenson took one picture of it with his fisheye lens that must have been great but I never got to see that one. I had my camera with me that trip but didn't take any pictures. I would love to have a larger copy of the one you have. Could you email me one? Thanks. I am looking forward to using the M-2 at some trackdays this year. Especially when NESBA runs the Patriot course at VIR. It's 1.1 miles of track that will be like going to Deals Gap without leaving home! AND you won't get a ticket for letting it all hang out! Come join me there! A footnote to the two pictures of my M-2 posted here is that they were taken just a couple of days apart. I came home from Deals Gap on Sunday and then did the BRAG trackday at VIR the next week. What other bike has the versatility that would allow you to do that? What a great machine! edited by Rotchcrocket51 on March 03, 2004 |

i've saved those packing pics, my wife and i plan on doing a two wheel camping vacation this year! i remember a couple of years ago blake(i think) posted before and after pics of his packing job, it was amazing the amount of things he took with him. that similarly laden m2 is also quite the feat and mikes as well. |

Damn! I had three days worth of fresh clothes, shoes, tools, spare parts, and my camera bag in this little bit of luggage. I can't imagine lugging all that stuff with me that some of those guys have in those pictures! |

Noface, The heavy stuff is all in the saddle bags. I made the mistake of packing too high and heavy one time. Talk about your mass decentralization. The bike would NOT turn. It was scary. That shot shows my Cyclone packed for a week of Camping and riding along the Blue Ridge Parkway, complete with tent, mattress, sleeping bag, tools, stove, pots and pans, food... Well, if you haven't read the story yet, it might be of some interest. Chris (Bigfan), Dude, you don't even know the half of it. What's great about the Ventura pack system and the soft bags though is that upon arrival at a campsite, the pack Buell can be transformed into naked sportbike within one minute. Hotels are for... well I won't get into that here. |
