My Uly came with an aftermarket 1pc tall windshield. However, the previous owner gave me the original upper and lower shield sections...& the mounting pins...but no grommets. Looks like I need 4 of them. Would like to put the smaller shield on for the summer. Anybody have a set they can part with before going to HD and waiting a month to get them? Please let me know. Thx! Turns out I only need 2 of these. American Sport Bike gets almost $58.00 shipped as a 4 pk. Are these gold plated? |

>>> Are these gold plated? Check with Al at American Sportbike. If he says they are $58 . . . in my experience . . . you are getting about the best deal you can get. He'd be happy to explain to you why. Al is not only whip smart he's as honest and professional as a guy can be. I buy from him and Joanne regardless of a couple $$ difference. Call him and get the straight scoop . . . it'll be infinitely more accurate than an internet poll. |

Well, I agree the price is silly... we charge $12 each for them, sold as a pack of 4. If someone needs just two, we can split them up, but you can't order it on the web site that way. Fact is, MSRP on them is now $13.40 each, and we normally sell OEM stuff at MSRP because we still have to pay dealer markup on them. But when they raised the price on them the last time, I just couldn't bring myself to charge that much for them, seems exorbitant to me too. So I ate some of the difference. Al |

I'm going to second Court on Al being an honest and willing to help businessman. I've had several purchases for both of my Buell's that were flawless. I also have called Al for advice on what I need for mods or repairs, and have gotten nothing but help. I was looking for a complete OEM headlight housing and wiring for my 99 X1 a while back, nothing anywhere, called Al and asked about options, and he gladly informed me that he had 2 NIB on a shelf. They weren't on the website since the stock was limited, and his price was only $10 more than the best used setup I could find. Al and Joanne are a pleasure to do business with. |
