I'd like to head down to Daytona and catch the races live and support EBR bikes. What are the date and times that Cory will be racing in? I'm not to up on the classes so the official schedule confuses me. don't want to miss it. Will there be an EBR truck with the new street bike to demo? |

Took me a while to find it, and I think that they just loaded the results shell for this year's Daytona: http://www.amaprolive.com/live/archives/rr/2013/ If it works like last year, you can hit the Timing Screens and Live Timing buttons up in the right corner and get the live timing. Right now they still have the last live timing screen loaded from last year, but assume they will refresh during when the practices, qualifying and racing start. EBR's are in the SuperBike class. The SportBike class is what has been running the 200 for the last several years. Morning practice live timing is now… http://www.amaprolive.com/rr/ |

On the plus side, that's a decent showing for Pegram on his first practice session and first time out on the bike, and it looks like Cory basically picked up where he left off last year. Oh yea, and they're both ahead of the Ducati. |

well, that Ducati's the ONLY one racing in US truly a dealer-level bike, fielded by father, John Long, for son, Barrett [like Cory, a 3rd-generation AMA Pero veteran] |

Hugh, Pegram has tested that bike. They have had some seat time on it. Hes not completely a stranger to the bike. He also has people that know the bike in his pit with the Amsoil team being there. Larry in my opinion in running where he is as to where he is in his life and age. Great guy but his career is ending soon |

Dana- thanks for the additional info on Larry. I'm sure that's true regarding age and place in career. Richard Petty said something to that effect when he went so long without winning a race near the end of his career in NASCAR. It seems a large part of older competitors not winning is not so much reduced ability, but just having better sense than to try stupid stuff he would have tried ~20 years earlier. Depending on your perspective, doing stupid stuff helps win races. I'm sure that applies even more to M/C racing. Cory showed steady improvement last season; hopefully he will continue that this year and wind up on a podium soon. |

Cory's really big jump in improvement occurred at the last race, when he got some additional support from the factory team on some suspension issues that he had been having problems with all year. Hopefully he has that technical support this year so he can move forward. |

Cory's dad posting on Facebook "Cory's P 10 going into final qualifying in the morning. The new EBR 1190 RX is good. Just trying to get the slipper clutch more to his liking on corner entry. Lots more potential!! " |

Anybody watching Fanschoice.tv? It's literally 2-3 stationary cameras without any context. Can't complain as it's free, but I'm going to stick to the live timing feed on AMA's site. |

Cory just turned 197.628 trap speed. I think they found some more horsepower . |

Cory just turned 197.628 trap speed. I think they found some more horsepower trouble is...the leaders are over 200mph, and lap times are not just about top speed. If Chris Filmore can get the KTM up to 5th place then surely the EBR bikes should be at around the same leverl or better? (given that the KTM is now ancient in superbike terms and compared to the EBR bike). Unless they all fall off the result will be contested by the top 4 guys on the Monster Yamaha/Yoshi Suzuki teams, as these are in a different league to the rest of the field so far. |

Cory jumps up to 9th on the last lap of Qualifing with 1:40.685. I have seen him do this many times, save the best for the last. Sure makes me nervous. |

super Q result for Cory West #13 here's hoping Larry Pegram #72 picks up his pace in the races {{{{{threadjack - search out episode 4 of "SuperBike Family" on VelocityTV for Heather at work, modeling}}}}} EBR 1190s need speed on their own, as opposed to drafting others all in good time..... |
