Some of you may know I have been fighting my clutch for over 1 year now. Initially had the weep so I installed the EBR actuator and Barnett Plates with the Barnett springs. Used that for 1 year bleeding many, many, many times and it was always almost impossible to shift into neutral if I was sitting still. wouldn't shift properly with Barnett plates and stock springs either.

So this winter I reinstalled the old plates, with EBR actuator and stock springs. Thought I it was fine, but couldn't really test it. Well at a race practice day in the rain, it was slipping on the straight.

So I rebuild it at the track in the rain, between practice sessions, using Barnett friction plates and stock steels and stock springs. Going on the basis that something in the Barnett stack was to tall.

Got out on the last session and it was still slipping, but not as bad. So now its down to about 36 degrees outside, so I wait until the next day to mess with it.

Get up and tear it apart again, this time with Barnett friction plates, Barnett springs, and 4 stock steels and 5 Barnett steels.

Ran 4 races and it shifted and didn't slip. While its not the best solution, now that I have some time I'm going to buy a damn caliper and measure these F'n stacks.

Sorry for the long rant/post/run-on, but I know a couple of others have had the same issues.

I had a clutch issue, tho unlike yours it was due to the clutch cable melting. I was having trouble shifting. As the day went on my shifting got harder. I was thinking the worst, a bent shifter fork. Nope just my clutch cable. Just sharing my 2¢.

What clutch cable? I assume you are referring to the hydraulic line.

Thoughts on the slipping clutch:
1. Is the pressure relief port obstructed due to misalignment of the actuator housing?
2. Is the spherical nut to tight?

The above is based on the assumption that the spring free length and clutch stack are per the manufacturer.

Yes my cable/hydraulic line was slowly melting and while the line was getting real hot, it was causing major shifting problems.
