My throttle-side heated grip is no longer functioning. I tested the two connectors, and there must be a severed connection in the cable directly connected to the throttle. Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the grip from the throttle piece? American Sport Bike has this wiring piece (http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/5669) and I'm wondering if I can route it though the stock grip where the OEM wiring travels? Or is the wiring glued in that stock piece? The switch works fine, and I'd like to keep the stock grip if possible. |

If you give up fixing the nice factory setup, just switch to the polly heaters. Cheap and durable. They will take a little longer to come up to temp though. My next gen controller is done electrically and working really well. I just haven't figured out how to package it in a weather proof setup. If you didn't want to be able to view the LCD part all the time (which has some really cool features now) you could just seal it up in electrical tape under the flyscreen. |

Reep - spray it down with a heavy coating of FlexSeal! If you use the clear, you should be able to see the LED's through it... http://www.getflexseal.com/ |

Mine had chafed where the cable first leaves the grip at the thick piece and right at the other end of the wire where it goes into the plug, it was chafing on a zip tie that holds all the wires together under the fly screen |

Advoutlander- The plug end under the flyscreen looks good, so I'm guessing there's a tear where it exits the grip, inside the casing. Is there anyway to repair it? Did you replace yours? |

Im no electrician, so I cant say. I found it easier to replace the grip. One thing i have noticed is that the new throttle grip gets hotter than the left grip. |
