Hey guys,

I'm sure people are tired of seeing this thread about the gas caps:

If you missed out the first time, forgot you ordered one, or simply think one would look nice on a necklace, all is not lost.

I have a good number left for any Buellers in need.

Hey YA'LL this does work and yes I did buy one. I have had some problems getting that darn cap off and not enough gas to get home unless that cap came off. Great idea.

I bought one for each of my tubers, even though the X1 cap isn't hoarked yet. It's just a matter of time. If you have a tuber, you need one of these.

Just a quick update and shout out to Matrim for a great product! I ordered and received my repair kit and was very pleased by the parts, packaging, and fast shipping. The instructions in the first post for installation were spot on and easy to follow. My gas cap was not blown out and the plastic still engages with the turning pin; however, I could see how this was a potential failure point. The install took less than an hour and the results look professional and will outlast the life of the total part. Thanks again Kevin!

I stumbled upon this post last night...an "ah ha" moment, this will be me at a gas pump with my 99 X1 one day. My cap is still turning ok, but is a bit tough to physically remove to fill up.

I PM'd Kevin and will have this part in my mailbox in a few days.

I haven’t made these in a long time. Maybe someone has one they never installed. I think I saw a different fix floating around on eBay too.
