ok I replace the fuel pump on my 99 x1 cause when I tested the pressure it went up to 5psi only, now the issue I install the new pump still the same thing. My question the fuel pressure regulator when I inspected the whole assembly I could turn it by hand and the screws are tight is that normal?? now I did unscrew it and it look sort of dirty is that a common issue as well. also where could I find one? |

Thought that reg was held in by either metal or plastic clips, sits on an o-ring.O- ring could be bad allowing pressure to bleed by or reg is toast. |

Well if their is a o-ring their it might of dissolved with time lol along with plastic clips. When I took the assembly out the regulator its held in its place by 2 metal screws in across from each other. The regulator you could turn by hand and had a little play in it do you know if that is normal?? Of course the low fuel sensor wire looks like it burned off from it. |

Tony, you need to update your profile. Call Al at American Sport Bike and ask for advice. |

Should be able to turn as all it seats against is that o-ring. |
