Will EBR have something not 1190 powered by the end of the year? Anyone know, and will it be available before the Motus? |

According to the Indian press, Hero is coming out with a bike with an EBR-designed 250 cc engine shortly, and EBR will distribute Hero bikes in North America, so.... maybe. |

Supposedly the new Hero 250 will be shown mid February at the Dehli auto expo. For grins -n-giggles, I am thinking about going to what will be my "local" EBR dealer tomorrow and poke around some. Find out if the sales staff knows anything, or are clueless. I don't have a need for an RX. It, at my age would be a complete waste of equipment. BUT, I am highly interested in a shiny new sporty small displacement bike to supplement my EX-250. An EBR insider told me the new engine will have excellent power for the displacement. |

It would be neat if they just made a single cylinder version of the 1190 and have 92.5 hp. |

Erik has had a nice bit of time to sort out that 2 smoke racing bike he started. If anyone could get one past the EPA, it would be him. That would be sweet. OK, I'm standing by FOR NEWS.

I just found out that. The rotary engine uses plugs with different heat ranges depending on which hole they are in. |

Apparently, this is the new Hero 250 designed with EBR's help: Not bad! More info here: http://www.motorbeam.com/bikes/hero-motocorp/2014- hero-hx250r-specifications-price-pictures/ |

Expected price $2400. Probably without the optional ABS I can see my son all over that for his first bike. |

It even comes with decent tires. I have Sport Demons on the Mighty 250 Ninja. They work well. |

I'm 54 now. I see the ULY lasting until I'm 60 & then me having to give up on "big" bikes and move to something just like this. It certainly has an attraction IMHO. Chris C |

I'm guessing the price to be $3000 to $4000. $2900 would be a crazy low price. I'm guessing that a complimentary range of motorcycles from HERO distributed through EBR dealers and an honest advertising (sustained media blitz) using all forms of media (mass marketing) with Hero's muscle to make it happen could be mind altering. I am imagining this with fully stocked showrooms and bikes in the pipeline. Now would be the time to be a dealer. |

REALLY nice looking 250, in my opinion! Perhaps it is just me, but reminds me of an Aprilia. |

I've bought engines from India and the company I work for has started buying castings from there. The worst junk I have ever seen. They go for quantity not quality. I can see dealers selling these and so much being wrong with them that they just exchange a new bike everytime you take it in for warranty work. Hope EBR fairs well. I don't have any faith in India. Having said that, I have not purchased anything from hero. Just to be fair. |
