I have been wanting a frame brace for my S1W and not many Banke's if any at all being resold. I had heard someone bought or took over the design from Banke and hasn't done anything with it or something like that so I decided to talk to a fabricator friend of mine and with the help of Jolly this is what we came up with. Made from T6061 aluminum and polished. This is a first design mounted to my bike. He can also make a solid one as well. Thought about putting the bike name on the solid part..ie. S1 Lightning, S1 White Lightning etc. mounts the same as the Banke but design is a little different. comments? questions? One off ones are $125. If we can get a decent amount of orders together then I should be able to get the price down.

That looks great! I like the slots, but would prefer they be smaller...but either way, I'm in. |

Iam not trying to sell anything in quantity or to make any profit. Nor am I trying to be a vendor. Iam passing the cost to the members along with the shipping. There is interest for this product and no one has been doing anything about it so I took it upon myself along with some help from another forum member to revitalize something that has been dormant and probably never going to be worked on by anyone. Iam just trying to be a righteous Buell owner and enthusiast and trying to pass on nice things to other Buell enthusiasts. |

Can you make some Drive Support Arms like that? Sort of like the old Banke one? Probably nine others (besides me) would like one of those too! |

I'd like to see a tuber drive support arm with provisions to bolt on a belt tensioner, preferably the one with a spring loaded pulley. Been trying to finger out a way to rig one, but my feeble fabrication skills are not up to the task. |

I'm working on a swing arm brace/pulley guard with the same machinist...it will be done soon, I'll post pictures as soon as its complete. He already has the first one done, I just need to get some spacers measured for him so that the set-up is complete. |

Ok here is the skinny on the frame brace. $130 should cover everything. Brace will be $110 unless we can get quite a few more. $5 for the hardware, $10 for shipping in the U.S. and then $5 to cover paypal and my gas running around for everything. That's the honest breakdown. I will need the money sent to my paypal account first before I can have them made. I do not want to get stuck with paying for promises. The other thing I want to bring up is he is not charging me a set up/design fee. This is a great price for the work that has been done. |

Personally, I like the solid design with the bike version name, mine is 'S1 Lightning'. But am in for whichever. Roderick |

the only design that is made so far is the one in the picture above. I only have like one person that stated above that they wanted a solid one. Iam going to make a run when I get the orders taken. private message me and I wil give you the pay details. I will need the money before the parts are made. I will also see if he will make a solid one without charging for the additional work. Thanks |

Looks like I have three private message responses so far from those that committed. I will private message others that wanted the brace tomorrow when I get up. Iam at work right now. I dont want to hold up the ones who will be sending payment so lets try and get this together soon so I can get this done for everyone. Those that have messaged me I will get back to you tomorrow with the payment details. Thanks. |

That's a great price Jef and you should be commended for your community spirit and 'at cost' deal... If I hadn't welded a brace in my frame, I would be taking one off your hands... |

Don't hesitate on these braces if you want one. There may not be another run made with what I was able to negotiate the cost down to. Just giving a heads up. I may order just one additional to have on hand and that's it. Would like to get the order in by mid next week. |

I'm in for one more for my buddy, have mine on the bike, looks great!!! Really well made! If I wasn't investing money in having two more parts designed and made I would buy one more of these for myself as "shelf stock spare"! |

Quick question, I have a '96 S1 and wondered if the geometry of the frame is the same as with later bikes? Specifically, will the brace clear the oil filter? I look at Jeff's pictures and then look at my bike and wonder. I have included several pictures.
