Im waiting to receive. Touratech kick plate extension. If there is anyone on here who has one, does the lip on the kickstand have to be grinded down or will it fit straight on? |

No grinding necessary. It works very well and fit nicely. One word of advice, add to your normal service routine to check the bolts. Mine vibrated off somewhere the other day. |

The thinner metal on the top eventually failed on mine. I wrote to Tourtech and they told me that they were discontinued. |

Glenn that sucks. Its hard as hell to find any touratech stuff for the uly. I'm still debating whether to buy the headlight protector. I like it but still want to retain the factory light grill. I just fitted it without any grinding. It looks great and ill be sure to check the screws at intervals. |

I wouldn't pay for one of those. If you want a bigger foot down there, it would be really easy to just weld on a chunk of scrap steel. If you were local to me, I would offer my "professional" welding services. |

I bought my Uly used and the original owner put one of those Touratech kickstand extender things on it. It's a POC and the only reason I haven't removed it is my confidence it will eventually fall off. |

Touratech. I have, in the past, bought a number of parts for the 06 Uly. The cost was huge and the quality questionable. The fact of the matter is that you can fix most things for free or little money on a Uly if you know how. |

i got a 2008 stand but you can only use the stand part on the part that goes hooked to the engine, it has a longer rest part makes me feel a bit more confident in it. |
