Hey, I was wondering if anyone/shop might be interested in fielding a Buell in FX. I would like to ride in that series on a Buell. I hold an AMA Pro License and believe that I can make the bike not only run good motorwise, but handle TOO. Anyone with info on a shop that would be interested, please contact me and I can send a resume and proposal. I have 17 years racing experience and have won at the regional and national level(s). Thanks, Marcus McBain (Yeah, Mark's bike got me hooked) |

Gonna show Miguel the fast way around. Hell yeah. Come on Brian, doesn't Tilley's have a Pro Thunder spec XB sitting around doing nothing? Give them (Tilley's HD/Buell) a call Marcus. Or what about that crew up at Iowa HD/Buell? Daves is a track day fiend. Surely he'd love to get the Buell Cycle Center name on an AMA FX machine. Then maybe try Latus HD/Buell out of Washington State. They had built a monster XB, there's pictures of it buried in the site somewhere. I never heard anything about them actually getting the bike on the track though. Wouldn't hurt to call NRHS and Cycle-Rama either, but they probably don't have bikes immediately available. Another possibility might be R&D Cycles (Ricky Farmer) in Shreveport. His number is (318) 425-9910. He used to help build the engines for the Nallin AHDBA championship Buell drag bike and is now on his own. He has his own dynojet 250 on the way if not already up and running. Do you have any idea what you are getting into? |

Or here's an idea... a BadWeB sponsored FX ride? What would it take Marcus, cash wise after you had a bike with a competitive engine? |

It would only take about 500,000.00 or so. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

You needing a bike Marcus? You may want to contact Rodney Barkalow at Central Texas HD. Hes the GM there and they are big on racing Buells. I know his son Rodney Scott is racing an XB12R at Daytona this week and they are getting a 2nd bike ready to race also. wouldnt hurt, especially since they know you already --Phil |

Oh yeah, forgot to mention my snide remark for the day. Marcus, you really sound like you got bit by the Bug. Its the same one that we all got bit by. We know it all to well, it causes this wide grin from ear to ear whenever we think about riding the Buell. I've seen it a few times on you, but didnt want to mention it. |

I seriously doubt if I can, but if I can help I will . I'll be a frickin waterboy for you if you race anywhere near AZ . I could probably even be convinced to run mostly naked down the track every time the leaders go by (if you're not with them that is...). I can't run very fast though, so maybe I should just stick to being a waterboy? |

Daves, Funny you should say that. That is the exact number that Jeff Nash gave as well. Of course he was speaking wrt beating the factory teams. If our goals were not so aggressive, we could do it for less than that don't you think? |

All right already. This is how it starts. Lets knock it off. The last time you guys got the racing bug I ended up in some godforsaken place in Utah watching people set records. We need to nip this in the bud, once Court hears about it we are all in big trouble. Dave |

Shush Blake... We WANT to beat the factory teams... Wait, now that I think about it... If they get CLOSE to beating the factory teams maybe HD will give Erik the funds to make a Buell V-Twin that they could then throw into a sporty model... |

Marcus I we cant find you a fully supported ride, I have just been offered access to an brand new XB12R at very, very low cost. Perhaps a dealer may be interested in funding the mods to make that one an XB12RR if we provide the bike. I’ll talk you later about some detail. I never thought you’d be jealous of something I had!!!!!! 119.

With the success of the Elves in that quaint place in Utah, I wouldn't be surprised at what could be done on the track. I agree that once Court hears about it, he'll be gung ho. How cool would a set of race leathers all done up with the Team Elves stuff look? Alex |

Lot's of good information. I don't know if am glad we did Mark's bike up or not. The Buell kinda takes me back to when this was a hobby, not a living... It is kinda cool coming off the track and people get amazed at how fast the Buell can go. Mark, I will talk to you...I'm jealous Marcus |
