Just checked it out online. Looks great to me. Congrats and best of luck to Eric and the elves. I've owned 5 Buells and enjoyed them all. To this day I still constantly pick my XB12Ss to ride over my MV Brutale. |

Steve: Thanks . . .once again and just as sincerely . . . for your service to out nation. I envy you in your role as a Blackhawk pilot. As a fixed wing guy, I've always known there was something different about those folks not dependent on airspeed to sustain flight. You've made me much more comfortable about helicopters! Seriously . . . go do your thing and know we are all 100% behind you. Let me know when you are pointed CONUS and I'll update you on your bike. I think you'll be thrilled. All the best, Court |

As a fixed wing guy, I've always known there was something different about those folks not dependent on airspeed to sustain flight i've been on well over a hundred HAF's. Not sure what you fly, but I freaking love CH47's, they are the workhorse of the sky. them and C17's, but that's a different story. UH60's are cool in a sexy kind of way, if I ever have the time and resources to build a recumbent/FF motorcycle, i'll steal some lines and curves from the 60. I'll plug into the VIC (whatever you call it for aerial platforms) sometimes, it's funny to listen to the pilots ("oh, i didn't realize i was that close to that fence"). Edit: just saw in the previous post that you're a 60 pilot. (Message edited by torquehd on October 28, 2013) |

Court said I'm happy with the bikes I have now . . . . well I did raise a topic here http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/724347.html?1382442986 just out of curiosity as I'd seen you'd advertised a couple of your Buells for sale. One thing is certain Court, and it applies to all of us. Any bike is great to ride when you haven't ridden one in a long time. Likewise any bike is great to own when you've not owned one in a while too. I'm lucky. I've got to that stage in my life where my Buell looks like it will always be my Buell. Not that it wasn't always going to be that way (there have been a few bumps in the night I confess), but I feel less inclined now to own something else too that could draw some of my affections away from the Buell if I went down the road of owning more than one bike again. That said, I still do have a desire to build another motorcycle. Perhaps a Fireblade streetfighter a little like this one I spotted Thursday, but much more minimalistic and not so many aftermarket catalogue items adorning.

I'm laughing right now Curt because you just reminded me of BBC MotoGP commentator and ex racer Steve Parish interviewing Guy Martin at this years TT. Martin having competed in two races the week so far is about to go for his third outing in the 1000cc SuperBike race (the sound is not so good but Martin's words are legendary, lol). Enjoy 26 seconds of the most truthful statement ever said about the racing of motorcycles for a living! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6dHwj6Z0dc Rocket in England |

Parish "lot of the guys are saying it's just hard work having done a race just this morning, one yesterday. Lots of practice end of the week" Martin "Let's be honest it's not real work is it. It's riding motorbikes" Parish (laughing) "Argh yeah, but you're grafting though" Martin (laughing more) "You what. (Are) You having to work it" Parish "It is for me I can tell you. This is grafting for me. But anyway, good luck" Martin "Cheers" Rocket in England |

Rex: Package here with a couple hats, a handful of trinkets and 8 or 10 shirts . . . ready to go. I'm in the process of packing to move . . . yet, again . . and have a couple other things in mind if I can find them. If I do, I'll send a 2nd package. A couple of these shirts, never saw the light of day. They were prototype or internal use. I've tossed in one, still wrapped in plastic, Erik signed back in the 90's. Is the LaHonda address good? I am absolutely thrilled about the 15th ASBN event . . in the words of Joe Biden . . . ."This is big!" |

Dave, thanks for the note. That means a lot to us. We have a dedicated group in Arizona now, and our group in California. We hope to keep the fires alive. We have Badweb, Facebook pages, Meet up groups, Yahoo groups, etc. We try to always have a booth at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel each year. Last year, ASBN and EBR were side by side at this great event. |
