The 1125R will be undergoing some preventative maintenance/upgrades this winter and wanted to put some feelers out there as far as upgraded parts go. 1)EBR Clutch actuator cylinder replacement 2) Cam chain followers, possibly tensioners, 28,000 miles on the bike, better safe than sorry 3) 5mm EBR Finned front brake rotor -As far as the pads go, does Carbon Loraine make a pad for the stock caliper, I contacted Speigler in hopes of a quick result, sent in pictures and dimensions of stock pads, they couldn't find anything in stock. Otherwise I'll go with Ferodo. 4) Clutch plates are being replaced. Has there been good results with aftermarket setups? I've used Baker with good results in Harleys, curious on thoughts with the 1125 setup. I'm trying to stick within a $1200 budget, and I've yet to pony up for the specialty tools. Pull oil filter screen and clean it + replace o-ring and gasket. I just pulled the one on my 6200 mile CR and it was mostly clean but did have a few little bits of debris in it. | ||

Clutch plates = Barnett with the stock springs Front brake = spend an extra $50 and buy the upgraded disk mounting hardware from EBR ...with that many miles you may want to chk your rear wheel bearings... Al at American sport bike has the clutch kit and brake pads...hope this helps | ||

You might also service your front caliper, Harley priced the seal kit $80 with the pistons if I recall. | ||

Clutch: Measure your existing pack for wear. I've used the Barnett with good success, but they wear quickly. Front brake: The rebuild kit is awesome. I just ran my caliper though the ultrasonic cleaner, and reassembled with new pistons, seals, etc. Very nice.... |
