At the risk of repeating others, I felt obligated to sing the praises of the EBR ECM. I installed mine this afternoon, and wow! I think this is the bike that Eric intended. The throttle response is smoother, especially when changing gears when the wrong input used to make the bike fall on its face. Low speed throttle response is also noticeably smoother; all of the low speed jerking and surging is gone. It's predictable and consistent, it's like the it reads your mind and knows what to do. The engine and exhaust note sounds cleaner and smoother as well. It also runs cooler, and the lean popping when engine braking is gone too. It's an all around improvement for the whole package, and I'm quite glad that I made the swap. If you're on the fence like I was, don't hesitate. You'll have a whole new bike that's even more fun to ride than before. I guarantee that you'll love the difference it makes. |

I still plan on picking one up... I'll have to add it to the winter list. Still intrigued by the Power Commander 5 with the Auto Tune mod too though. Granted it is over twice the cost. |

My experience of the EBR ecm are exactly those of Jimustanguitar. It makes the bike far easier to ride and gets rid of those characteristics that you learn to 'ride around'. |

The thing I noticed most was at 100 mph wacking the.throttle after race ecm would lift the front very easily. |

@Jaredc01 I did a EBR race ECM with a PC5 and it runs perfect. The ECM fixes alot of things that PC5 doesn't have access to. The best solution would be a programmable EBR ECM but I already had a EBR ECM adding the PC5 was my most inexpensive solution |

I was planning on taking my 1125R to WV last year, so I got bar risers, dropped the pegs, and figured I might as well take it to HD for the updated flash. Big mistake. The bike ran ok on the way home, but in the next few days, it ran like total crap. It had a persistent miss/stumble at cruising RPMs. So In desperation I bought a Versys about 3 days before the trip and everything went OK. Came back and realized I needed to decide what to do with the 1125. At the advice of Froggy I plunked down the coin for the EBR race ECM. I ordered the wrong one (w/ catalyst), but EBR customer service was top notch and before long I had the right one. Bike runs great now. I concur. It's a good investment. BTW Versys is a kick-ass bike. |
