That thing in person at the AIMExpo was jaw dropping. 165lbs. I can't imagine riding that. |

In general if it is at least motorcycle related it is fine to post basically anywhere, as discussions involving the competition are common, but I also have a hard time grasping why this is in here and not the quickboard, unless we are also discussing a non-existent Buell or EBR dirt bike?

The fuel is in the frame and the swingarm is the muffler. |

so cause the fuel is in the frame we should put stuff in the EBR section? I'll start asking all my 1125 questions here then.... |

Fuel in frame is not something that Erik was first to do either. Although, I do know Erik has a patent regarding something to do with a swingarm muffler |

Muffler swingarm - https://www.google.com/patents/US20100270098?pg=PA 11&hl=en&sa=X&ei=C39oUvvLM_XH4APx5YCwAg&ved=0CG0Q6 AEwBzgK |

i just don't see an upside to a muffler/swingarm setup. increased unsprung weight, flexible tubing is going to curb horsepower and be a prospect for fracture failure, plus a hot (even warm) swingarm means you'd likely have to insulate the brakeline. |

tubing wouldn't have to be flexible. I can visualize a way to hard pipe to a non-moving part of the swingarm and then ducting the exhaust gas internally in the swingarm |

If they were trying to save weight they should just cut the muffler out all together boom!! Weight saved yw I know sometimes my genius even amazes me |

This is in the EBR section because Erik is probably one of the "unnamed individuals" they thank for signifigant input on the build. I'm guessing when EBR eventually builds a dirtbike, it's going to be a lot like this one. I'm also guessing that if EBR had sifnifigant input on this thing, they couldn't put their name on it for legal reasons relating to the doomed Buell dirtbike. Fuel in frame, swingarm muffler, which Erik happens to hold a patent for, grab rails integrated into the tail (Ulysses tail anyone?)and shown off at Erik's pet motorcycle show? Not even remotely EBR related. *Sarcasm font activate!* You guys can't see this being an under the radar EBR dirtbike experiment, and yet another subtle finger to HD? Really? |

" grab rails integrated into the tail " My kaw has those, this is nothing specific to Buell/Erik "You guys can't see this being an under the radar EBR dirtbike experiment, and yet another subtle finger to HD? Really?" Yep, really, I cant. |
