Interesting day yesterday, got the 9 put back together last week and made it out to the last track day of the season and my first ever. Couple of minor issues...sticky throttle at tech inspection, shift pivot bolt that left the bike somewhere on the front straight between turn 7 and 1 during the 3rd session. All in all, not a bad day, I was turning 1:08-1:10 on normal config by the late afternoon 15 mins into the last session of the day (literally 5 mins to go), exiting turn 1, tired, lost focus, too much throttle too early and poor body position on the bike. Right-hand low-side, slid about 60 feet, bashed my right pinky, sprained my right shoulder. No major damage to the bike, all pretty much cosmetic. As wrecks go, not too bad. I can't wait to get out there again next year Big thanks to Bart for helping me put new seals on the forks and to Kim for the take-off tires (Message edited by sparky300 on October 08, 2013) |

At least you had axle sliders... Glad you are ok! |

My '03 XB9R also has a sort of sticky throttle. They gave me a bit of flack about it at tech inspection, but let me pass. They want it to snap back in case you come off, it'll close the throttle. I don't really mind it the way it is. I'm comfortable with it. Did you get any shots of you moving? Damage doesn't look too bad. I guess it is a good thing you had those sliders. |

Axle sliders sure did their job as did the frame pucks, I wish I'd had time and $ for case sliders also. I intended on putting a 12 header on it anyway. The throttle problem turned out to be grip glue between the tube and bar, worked like a champ after I cleaned it off. I do have some video of the first part of the crash, unfortunately as soon as my wife realized what happened she stopped filming. I'll try to post some still frames as soon as I get it downloaded. She says I rolled like 6-8 times after I left the bike I also wanted to thank Ed for his help during the day at the track and for picking me up and giving me and the bike a ride back to the pits |

Right? It's all just for show Makes that stunt on the way to Morinci look like amateur hour. My right hand was wedged between the bar and brake lever but the left definitely had some death-grip action going on. The look on the corner marshal's face is like "WTF is this idiot doing?" |

All right folks, the new EBR 1190RX is here! There is a lot to like, even with the steep price tag. Wish I had a baby to sell. http://www.erikbuellracing.com/motorcycles/ebr1190 rx/ |

I have a baby to sell, but I don't think my wife would be too happy if I sold him...the sad truth...as long as I'm paying for daycare for him, I won't be able to afford the RX |

Chris! I just put two and two together and realized who you were. I'm not going to try and top that stunt. No sir! You mentioned your shoulder, but what about your leather Vanson Buell jacket? I think the only way to correct the problem going into that turn is more horsepower... like a new EBR bike. Your wife wants you to be safe, right? |

Lol Jody! Jacket is scuffed but held up pretty well, it should buff out and the Stars & Stripes still wave As far as a new bike, I'm holding out for the SX |

Sadly, no, I don't have a helmet since I bounce-checked mine 2 weeks ago. You want pics of that too? I've been looking at an Icon Airmada as a replacement but haven't had time to swing by Steve's and try one on for fit |

Nope, not yet, haven't had a chance yet to make it to Steve's to try any on. I do need to get your ramp back to you though |

My wife ran the half marathon at Duke City last Sunday. At the finishers area, I saw a guy wearing a cool Buell leather. Kind of a white and black thing with logos and stuff all over it. Never seen one like it before. Didn't recognize the guy and didn't have a chance to say hi. Anyone here? |

Have you tried a staffing agency? That is how I got my job out in Texas. I am working for Recaro (the guys that make the seats for cars, planes, etc.) |

No, I have not tried any staffing agencies. I will look into it, though, because I have to have something. Bart, I'm almost sure you are correct. This weekend may be a good time to do that. I should be returning to Albuquerque on Wednesday evening. Sometime Thursday or Friday I need to get my wheel off the Uly and over to Steve to get a tire mounted. Of course, the Firebolt is ready to go. |

I was signed up with nearly every job site there is, an no one had called on any resume that I submitted over a 6-7 month span. I signed up with Robert Half Technology (a staffing firm that I am sure has an office in the area you are looking in). I had an interview the next day. I was scheduled for 2 more, but the offer on this job came in, and it is a good job with GREAT bennefits, so I took it. The only downside to the staffing agencies are that you may have to do a temporary contract to hire position for a while, and I know temp jobs arent as stable as direct hire, but it at least gets your foot in the door. I need to go for a ride... the only downside to that is I have no bike right now. Maybe I should just go rent one for the day? Ill have mine back in a few weeks... I can hold out. |

Adam, your bike seems to be getting regular exercise, I see it in the parking lot here at work regularly. Larry bitches about the riding position, but it doesn't seem to stop him from riding and grinning CJ, Give me a yell when you are ready for a ride.

Yes, I told him he could ride it to work to stretch its legs every now and then. He's just an old man who likes to bitch and moan, but he does have a bad back, so I understand his displeasure in the riding position. |

Ok, I just saw the story for the second time and have to ask. Which one of you Albq. buellers has been throwing molotav coctails at the probation and parole office. That's one hell of a way to get out of checking in..... |
