Anybody know about availability/part numbers for the spacers that you screw into to connect the "ham-can" cover to the backing plate on a Buell Race Intake (the one with the 3" thick K&N filter element)? If not, any ideas about sources other than H-D? Thanks, HellBuelly J http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hellbuellies/ "There are only three sports: mountain climbing, bull fighting, and motor racing. If you just want to move the can out,you can go to any hardware store and get 1/4"X20 couplers or longer bolts. Am I miss reading your post?.....Later Charlie |

Thanks for the reply, Charlie. I guess its the "couplers" that I want. I assume those are the hexagonal threaded cylinders that are bolted to the backplate and into which the cover is bolted from the front? I don't think it would be as stable if I just got longer bolts, though. Thanks, HellBuelly J http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hellbuellies/ Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Jay, Those are called standoffs. They are available from McMaster-Carr here's a link: www.mcmaster.com Look in the fastening and sealing section-spacers and standoffs edited by buelliedan on February 24, 2004 |
