I made the indicator housing out of aluminum and machined the lens for it from a piece of tinted acrylic. The leds i ordered from a model train store that are wired for 12v use. Inside of the housing is a SLS nylon rapid prototype piece that holds and spaces the led lights. This housing along with the speedo is mounted to a flat piece of of aluminum thats mounted by the handlebar bolts. To put the XB front end on, its best to use a complete front (XB forks and Triple)... Triples need a counterbore and a tuber stem pressed it. Then its a direct bolt on. No complaints on the Storz damper. Seems to work well. (Message edited by purpony on October 20, 2013) |

Looks good. Questions: Why leave a passenger seat area when no rearsets? Why not make that area into a trunk? Stock engine and trans? A very unique Buell. Well done! |

This will always be one of my favorite buells! Every piece of this bike flows so nicely, nothing is forced, every piece looks like it came this way. So nice! |

Thanks... from time to time i do put the pass pegs on for the wife.... plus i like how comfy the pro seat is. I do have plans of a modified stock seat over the winter. Headlamp and turn signal mounts are my own design. |

Gorgeous bike. You should submit it to bikeexif.com. I sent them an email with a link to this page. Great work |

Your bike continues to look more gorgeous each time you make a change, very nice work!! I like that you've kept a "Buell" tank decal on the bike, many people remove the brand name when they do paint or whatnot, and I think it's great that people can look at it and see just how sweet a Buell can be. Good looking exhaust, the black ceramic coat looks sweet. You don't get to see the full Borla system "in the wild" very often, didn't you have a Supertrapp on there previously? |

Ive been thinking of sending some stuff off to bikeexif.com. They have some nice stuff on there!! Thanks all, yes, used to have a supertrapp but wanted something a little different and a little more rare- so when i came across the borla i jumped on it. Yes, I used to have a prospect before my home built force.... but wanted to back to a that style so i designed and cut my own. Its moved forward as much as it could go and I an machined a built TB bracket that it all mounts to. |

So if I were to use a complete xb front end on my 96 S1 how would I hook up the speedo? |

Beautiful. The black derby cover is a nice touch on these blacked out motors. Never understood why it wasn't like that from the factory. |

Very well sorted specimen. The tail and the blacked out forks are my favorite touches. I also like the fact that the wheels are different but follow the same design scheme. The gauge cluster takes a little getting used to. I would have probably gone a little old school with something like a small round analog gauge with black face with white pointers. Well done. |

That bike is a 'wow!'. The Storz damper really stands out. I had a black one before. Can the damper tube be anodized or powder coated? Or covered with that black undercoating for pickup beds? |

I've been looking at this Buell a lot over the past few days and searching for something to say but couldn't quite put my finger on it until now. I like it a lot but I want to do things to it that I think would make it even better! Rocket in England |
