David, Saturday I'll be at the Tucson Open Golf Tourny. John Daily is playing and I want to see him hit the ball! Sunday is open for a day of riding after 11:30a.m. Maybe a ride to Sonoita and Parker Lake area. Then Patagonia area and come back thru Arivica to 3 Points and then Home. Does that sound like a plan? I'm home bound this weekend.  Next weekend will be a riding weekend for sure tho. A buddy of mine is coming to town with his Gixxer and I'm thinking of taking him up thru San Manuel and Winkleman up to Superior. I want to take that ride again...minus the rain and FOG! | ||

yeah looks like i may be home bound agian this weekend. I just got back from 4th ave, me and a couple buddies cruised it because its phat tuesday but there was hardly anyone out there so we came home early =/ | ||

he is doing alot better, he is still limping around and cant get on the honda untill the stiches come out. I ordered him the left fairing on ebay he got it for 77 bucks, Now all he has left is the front fairing and he should be good. Ill let vern know that you guys are riding this sunday. ben | ||

I'm glad he's up and around! Man, he lucked out finding a fairing that cheap. I figured he had over a $1000. worth of damage. Vern knows how to reach me, if he wants to ride Sunday tell him to give me a call. Bartimus Is your butt dragging from your first day back to work? I have some Alleve I can bring over if you're not moving well. I'm still in a dilemma over the S1 deal. Hopefully I'll get it worked out this week. Hey guys, Help me out. I'm supposed to go look at this guys 96' S-1 tomorrow. It's got 3500 mi. on it. He doesn't know what it's worth or what to charge for it. Frankly, neither do I. If it's in good condition, what should I offer him for it? I don't want to pay too much, but I don't want to low ball to badly either. KBB says trade in value is $3270 and retail is $4750. AL, If I'm off on Sunday, I'll do the ride. This management team has their head up their A$$ and can't just stay away from the equipment and let us do our jobs. (idiots) It is good to be back to work though, I really do enjoy playing around with all these robotic machines. LOL Yea, my butt is dragging. 12.5 hrs last night, not bad for a first day back at work! Although, it was nice to have 45 paid days off.  Brian, We'll miss you, but your plan sounds good, I'm up for another run up north the following weekend. Charlieboy, That KBB sounds about right. But the bottom line is, (and I told AL this also) How much do YOU value a bike that you want? I paid $5000 for my S1, and am completely happy with the deal I made. But that is just me. i know Buells don't hold their resale value, but hey, have you ever heard of me selling one of my bikes? I hold my bikes in very high regard. Hence the willingness to pay more, for something I really wanted. It is your choice in the end. If you miss this deal, another one will come along. The question is: Can you wait? | ||

Makes sense Bart. Thanks. Truth is, I don't want to wait. I want one NOW! But one has to be had in the price I can afford. I recently did the exact same thing regarding your S-1 purchase. I've always wanted a 1975 Ford F-250 Highboy. The truck sold brand new for about $3500. I bought mine for $6000. I guess the S-1 will price out at whatever he will accept and what I'm willing to pay for what I want. Take care, Charles | ||

M1combat, It looks like a ride is being planned for Superior, Globe, area in two weeks. That is closer to you. I paid about $1500 for my '65 fastback back in 1972 used. mint condition, 49,000 miles. I only drive it about 100 miles a year. | ||

Brian, Thanks for the e-mail update. I looked at the bike-but don't turn me into a BuellSlut! I want to make the decision on the S1 first! Remain a BuellWhore for a couple of weeks to a month and then possibly turn into a BuellSlut! I priced out the Thunderhead Components and it's going to run me 1500. plus from two different shops. I'm going to have to make the big decision soon so I dont loose the deal out east. Barimus, I'm planning on you riding Sunday. I know your ass is draggin, but you'll have the power to handle it on Sunday. Heck, you get to sleep in till 11:00am, and ride all afternoon. I know you can handle it! Even though you're working you need to remain positive about your biking activities Bart, or I'm going to have to ask you to Quit you job. Biking with Buells is our Priority , working is secondary! Have you Forgotten? Come on , Pull yourself together!! M1combat Weather permitting , we're going south of Tucson for a ride on Sunday. Wycked, Inform me on the XB Heads. They're better than the Thunderstorm? Why cheaper? Give me some info on that-Please. David, Watch the posts on the webb. Maybe we could meet a Hooters on Tanque Verde. Hooters is starting to have a bike night on the 3rd Wed. of every month. I'll check tomorrow to see if they'll be open by 11:30-12:00 on Sunday. If they are-maybe meet there, have some wings, and hit the road for Sonoita. If all in favor - say "I". I'll post tomorrow . I just called Hooters. They open at 11:00am Sunday Morning. If everyone is in favor-lets meet at Hooters, 6335 E. Tanque Verde Road, Sunday between 11:30 and 11:45. Artful, Will you have your air filter working by then? |
