Yeah, my '04 let's me roll without the kickstand up all the time. There is a clutch switch though. Still not quite used to having safety features on a bike... M1, I assume that 600 is a snow mobile...? I would love to ride it! That is the only machine I've never had between my legs. I bet it would be fun, except for snow... That shit is cold! LOL |

Ferris...I checked the bars on my S-2 and the spare set, and both are crimped, so I should be in good shape...Thanks again. REX |

Does anyone know where the pics were posted in the past on the site here showing photos of both the good and the recalled S2 handlebars? Thanks. Pretty sure mine are fine, but never hurts to know for certain, especially when heading deep into a corner on an early springtime spirited ride. |

Thanks for the "heads up" Henrik! Sadly, too late; I already paid for 'em. That'll teach me...the lesson to be learned is: Read ALL of Badweb every single day! At least they were cheap! I'll give 'em a good lookin' over and see if there is an easy way to strengthen the welds. In the meantime, anybody got a set of regular height bars they don't need? BigJ, THANKS for posting that link on the unbelievable racing tire deal. I snagged two softs and two mediums. Even with the shipping it cam to under $60/tire. Wow. I keep thinking it must be a typo. I have an order confirmation though. |

Just for info, At this coming Monday's American Sport BikeN Denis Manning of Bonneville fame (aka Bub) will be bringing his streamliner and giving a talk about his Land Speed Record attempt coming up this September at Bonneville. I think the bike is due to exceed 340 MPH! One engine, a V-Twin will do it! You can see details about the event at http://www.SpeedTrialsbyBub.com I'll be there early setting up, and this is going to be one of the best American Sport BikeN meetings ever. It's also Single Cylinder Motorcycle night, so that's for the Blast and other single cylinder motorcycle enthusiasts. I don't have the JAWA anymore, it's in Louisiana, but I still have the little Montesa. I hope to see you (all that can attend) at American Sport BikeN on March 1st, 2004. Meeting starts at 7 PM, but we'll be having fun way before that. http://www.AmericanSportBikeNight.com has a map and directions. Call me if you need any more information, Woz... 510-483-8858 510-504-6107 cell |

...I'll give 'em a good lookin' over and see if there is an easy way to strengthen the welds. i do not recommend trying. it'll be easy to see why once you get 'em in your hands. hmmm, it might save somebody else here some potential future grief if we knew who it was that would KNOWINGLY sell you something they had been told was defective. i believe Henrik used the word "asshole"... |

Greg, the 600 is a KLR - Kawasaki dirtbike. I used to ride one in the snow all year long in Alaska and it's a blast (You would have no idea how pissed a bunch of snowmachiners get when they get absolutely HOSED in the snow by a bike . Granted, when you get to deep powder the tides change drastically but on the hard packed stuff they just don't have the suspension to keep up. |

Hi, I have a 2001 Red Racing Stripe X1 Lightning, it says limited edition, 17 of 800...should I hold on to this bike for a collector? or will it really not be worth anything? it has 2000 miles on it and in immaculate condition. Would it be something to hold on to? Thanks... Todd |

good work snagging that pic, Mike. man, the interface between the tube and the collar on the upper bar in the photo sure illustrates what i was trying to explain to Rex in my post above: i got lucky on mine; they broke in my living room. Todd: yes. no. yes, hold on tight. FB |

I have a NIB post recall rear shock for 1997-1998 S3/S3T: Kit Part No. K1400.E (Shock Part No. K0431.B) All mounting gear is included. Would anyone know where I could get a trade for the same to a '99 X-1? This is the newest shock you can get for your S3/S3T. I am willing to sell for $550.00 plus shipping. This kit retails for $629.00 at Harley/Buell dealerships.

It's not a typo. They were at $59 then $49, and now that. There just isn't a big call for racing tires in that size. Check out thier prices on the Dainese stuff. They've been closing it out for a while. |

Big, True. Though I believe most of the SV guys are using the 170/60's too. I did noticed something that gives me pause... the photo showing those Michelin "Race" tires depicts a street tread, no mistaking it. If you click on their link to the Pilot Race 2 tires, they show the proper race treaded version. I hope I didn't just buy four street tires. |

Neil, nice to see Reg Kittrelle on SPEED, and such a nice, long, positive segment on Buells. here on the west coast Two Wheel Tuesday now kicks off at 5 p.m., which surely throws a wrusty ol' wrench into the viewing habits of those who are not self-employed. thank God they didn't air the "Stupid Racer" cartoons afterwards tonight... |
