Sorry I never got back to you on that one, Jim. I decided I didn't need it, seeing as Funjimmy has a manual for his S1 and Stu (Gootch) has all the info at the dealership and rides an S2 himself. Figured I pretty had it covered unless I was seeking it for its collectability. And I've been spending money at an alarming rate this last little while. (Bought a minivan today. Probably putting in an offer on another house tomorrow. Trying to convince the missus that we need an old beater of a motorhome I stumbled on. And came that close to buying an old 50cc dirt bike for my daughter today. And a pair of quads from my brother.) Trying to differentiate between the "wants' and the "needs."

Big mistake, the manual is invaluable and having your own parts breakdown is really nice when some doof tells you I can't get/find that part.

Don't buy the old beater motorhome it will just suck the money right out of your pocket. The dealers have excellent 15 - 20 yr. plans for new stuff. It is a long term investment anyway isn't it? I know mine is.

I have Stu and Kimberlie at the House of Buell, so I never have to worry about doofuses.
And I'm picturing the motorhome with a trailer and a pair of dirt bikes that only has to go as far as Herrling Island, where Stu and Kimberlie play. About 60 miles. And the whole packeage, including bikes, coming in under 10G. I couldn't justify tying up the money for a new, or even newer one. Couldn't afford the gas to go very far anyway. Maybe some years down the road. Sharon's idea is a tent trailer, which eliminates the dirtbike possibilty unless there's a pickup truck in the picture too.
There's rumours of floating plates becoming available soon. So you can transfer plates from one vehicle to the other. Good for owning more than one bike. Don't have to pay $70/month insurance on each one, since you can only use one at a time. This would also extend to four-wheel vehicles. Take the plates off the family car and put them on the truck or motorhome when you want to use it. Currently, someone like Jim has to either pay full insurance for each vehicle, or pay $25/day for single day permits.

Buellnuts - you got it baby....... that is me alright, becoming one with my bike. Deb has been teaching me some extreme riding classes - we were going to reveal my "new skills" the next time we were in a group ride, but it seems you have found some of the undercover spy pictures that the competitors of Code Red Racing have been taking. DOH!

Speaking of the little man..... Cody has his first all day practice Saturday and practice race Sunday of this coming weekend in McMinnville..... happy thoughts everyone - keep him in your prayers! : )

Kim, What time are the races Sunday? If the weather looks good and I'm over this cold I might stop and say hi at the races. Looking forward to seeing Code Red race this year! Yahooooo!

Shotgun, was our tech able to assist you with your running problems? Checking the ignition timming would be the first area to look at if no trouble codes show on a scanalizer.
Tbolteric, glad to hear things are on the up side. Sorry I missed you guy's Friday night, I was at the home and garden show.

Gootch, long distance diagnosis is tough as you know. I appreciate the help, but no luck so far. Tonight I drained the gas tank and refilled with new. No go. I guess I'll keep picking away one item at a time as long as the weather sucks anyway. The guy who I bought it from in New Jersey suggested it was an elevation problem. From Atlantic City at sea level to Portland at 160 feet above aint gonna make a difference tho.
Oh well, on to plan Z. Gotta go throw the jeans and jacket in the washer quick before the misses gets home. I stink like gas.

Shotgun posted: "I stink like gas"

Huh? All men stink like gas, I thought maybe mine was one of a kind?

Holey Cow - when I had my little mishap with Mike's bike and we had to take the tank off. I had stopped and filled her up on my way home (maybe his bike is a him - I don't know) anyway that thing was so heavy and full and we couldn't get it to stop leaking so we tried to empty it and I was not the best helper at this little adventure and by my own fault ended up wearing quite a bit on my hands. DOH! I reaked like gas for days. It was awful. I hope you didn't get much on you or your wife might stear clear for awhile. Morale to my story, don't drop your husbands bike and if you do don't fill it up on the way home. Better yet ride your own with frame sliders.... : )

Kimberlee, no problem. WWBD? I just made some home-made bread. Same solution that Michelangelo had. Great minds think alike. Thank God For Bob! It was either that or offer to wash the wife's hair, another sure cure for greasy/oily/gassy hands. Bob always knows what to do. You can trust his advice. You can even Thrust his advice.

Been a few since I posted so I guess I will update everyone to what is new in my life.. I was in a car accident on the 18th, I went to the doctor a few days later to find out I have a lower lumbar fracture. I think they called it a Pars Defect. Anyways, it all ='s broken back to me. So I will be getting to do some physical therapy and what not for a while now. Isn't that exciting? NOT...

Anyone know a really good personal injury attorney in the portland area? I have a guy but I don't know how good he is...

Anyone have a black SUV for sale???
