PO removed the trunk carrier. Took me a bit to find the holes it mounts back up. Now I see that something??? is missing. It appears there must be spacers (or something)that goes between the carrier and the bike ??? Hopefully that makes sense. If anyone post up a pic of the underside of the trunk carrier bolted up to the bike? Or a diagram (couldnt find one on the internet) showing the parts needed for the trunk carrier that would be much appreciated. fwiw - sidecase racks are mounted thanks in advance |

The top case bracket is two pieces, it sounds like you are missing one.

Froggy - thanks for the reply. My bike is an 06 (made in Aug 05) and the carrier is not the same as the one in the diagram. Hoping someone has the same type as me... and can help

Ahhh, unfortunately for you, that is not the factory tail-rack designed to work with factory side-racks.. it will take some modification to work in concert with.. Someone may chime-in with the procedure to make it work, however there is not a top-box designed to work directly (AFAIK) with that version, I'm afraid.. |

That's not Buell, that's Givi. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/rear-luggage-carrie r-for-givi-or-sw-motech-trax-topcases-buell-ulysse s-xb12x-xb12xt-all-years |

My 06 has the rack from the diagram - it is the factory setup. Yours, as noted, is not. It looks more like a "luggage rack", and not a "topcase mount". |

That's a great rack. I just put on on my Uly. You need about 3/4" spacers between the side racks and the frame to clear that rear rack. It works fine. |

Something to also note. The top rack/bag was not available without the side bag set up....something about the side bag frames supported the top bag by transferring load weight down to the rear foot pegs. |
