Okay so I just bought this thing for 40 bucks I figured what the hell, it runs needed a Carb Rebuild but I took care of that , but when I shift into first and let the cluch out it just bogs and shuts off not Sure what it is it's like the transmission is locked up completely , it also only has three gears, from neutral its 1,2,3,then its locked up, it wont sift anymore it's like a very tight feeling in the shifter that won't budge not even a little... , I'm 17 and live in Parrish fl, I have a Good job and if anyone can come help me work on it that would be great,I'll pay you if I have to, it's more of a learning thing not a have someone else do it for me, any assistance you could give on here would be great too, this is my first bike.. Thanks! |

The transmission is thrashed and unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars for someone else to rebuild your transmission you're out of luck. I live in Clearwater, FL if I were closer I'd lend a hand. Check your brakes to make sure they're not locked up. Is there the proper amount of transmission fluid in the bike? How is your engine oil level? Is there any play in your clutch cable? You can email me brian.erickson1121@gmail.com |

Sounds like too tight primary - 24 inch lbs then 16 to 18 flats out - 18 would be better. Does sound bad though, replace detent clips - add 2 and detent plate, do drum pin adjustment of length- leach in a drop of red lock tight to each pin adjusting, do shift pawl then do clutch, then do primary last. If that doesn't do it, then your in deep on the other side. EZ |

Thanks but I've found the issue primary was to tight bent shift fork, shift drum trashed, and a clutch Bering lodged in the outdrive gear the last gear on the belt shaft, no idea how it got there... just ordered a whole gear set, clutch, and aftermarket shift drum due for ups delivery tomorrow thanks guys, I figured if I took it apart and it up it's only a 40 dollar loss, I also want to thank you expecally ED for the email help! Parts are so inexpensive! |
