Hello Buell Nation, it is with a heavy heart that I offer up my beloved Uly for parts. The primary drive bearing and seal are out and since I do not have the time, tools or motivation to do the work myself it is an economically unrepairable machine. I have really enjoyed owning this motorcycle, I have an X1 that I'm having some mild custom work done to so I'll always have a herd of 1 but for an everyday ride I need something more reliable and with a dealer in town since I just don't have time to work on stuff anymore. Anyway, Here is how I want to do it: If there is something you want or need post it in the thread with an offer. All offers will be plus actual shipping by USPS and payment via paypal unless other arrangements are made. I will be posting a video of the machine running and some basic pictures but if you want anything specific just ask. | ||

I know, nothing like pictures and they are coming but here are a few of the basics, black, 55k miles, standard top and side cases, top case has some miles and minor scratches side cases look new, front and rear Michelin PR2's with the heavier rear for 2 up riding with probably 1500-2000 miles on them, new wheel bearing front and rear last season, Mastad (sp?) adjustable windscreen with the aluminum mounting plate that replaces the front plastic one, Standard exhaust with free rust, EBR ECM, comfort kit, standard seat...off the top of my head to get started here. Also, I want to mention that PKForbes (I think) on here has dibs on the X suspension and maybe a couple other things. Jessemc, got your PM, let me know what you could give me for that and we can talk, Desert Bird yes full set of boxes and brackets, Bubba they are standard and fine and available I believe. | ||

Sorry to hear you're parting out the bike. New here. Just bought a bone stock 09' Uly with low miles, and I love it, but riding in Texas, it needs the "comfort kit" to keep my right leg from cooking. I'm interested if you have the complete kit, and I would like to know your asking price. Thank you. | ||

I will try to get the pics and video link up tomorrow. I really want offers and I would prefer to just do them in the open here on the thread. If I go researching stuff I'll get too proud of it and my prices will be high and I'd like to move this stuff on out to make room for whatever is next. Also, the tires are pilot road 3's and probably have more like 3k miles on them but look almost new, phenomenal tires! The rear wheel is off an 06 or 07 because I the bearing chewed up the original when it went out. | ||

I think all PM's have been answered. Barring a fantastic offer on the whole enchilada from one member here is the stuff gone: Suspension, "beak", triple trees, comfort kit and luggage, in negotiations on windshield, pegs, engine and wiring harness. There is also an unbelievable Baja designs light setup that turns night into day, I was going to keep them for my x1 project but realized I won't be riding it that much at night so it is available. | ||

DannyB, no, it is actually an 06 with new bearings but I also have the original 08 with messed up bearing seats you could machine it and run a dual wheel four bearing setup, that'd be trick...  | ||

Bubba, you are correct, both sets of pegs are sold. Adv.er, hmm, just the levers...? seems like someone will want the assemblies and not if the levers are gone. The right side heated grip works...the vast majority of the time but I don't know if I'd install it on another bike, the wires to it are wrapped in electrical tape and like I said it worked most of the time so I just left it alone. By primary case do you mean the big bottom part of the motor and tranny assembly unit? It'll be a bit before I get there but make me an offer. In fact, make an offer on the levers, gear shifter and 95% of a heated right grip and we'll see where we are. Close to a deal on the ECM and Mastad setup. I removed the brackets for the bags tonight and that deal would be ready to ship but the comfort kit is going with it so it'll have to wait until I get that deep. Someone who needs tires and is due for wheel bearings could do themselves real good if they are out there somewhere... | ||

Carbonfibrebob: that seems a little low for a major piece that'll be expensive to ship, but if you are ok with it having a decent scratch on it I'll do it.
