Hi I posted this before but I am new to this site so be forgiving. I am looking for aftermarket mirrors for 2004 blast. I can't tolerate the stock mirrors. I don't see many options.beth |

I would recommend Bar End type for better view, and added help in quelling bar vibration - the classic Napoleans are nice for max rear view - use the XBS mirror plugs to plug your holes in the stock location. I'm pretty sure American Sport Bike sells them , I'm positive one of our sponsors can find them for you, however if those don't interest you let me know - I know a world of sites with different mirrors and have some listed in the links to stuff you can't find here section - so try those also if you find nothing from our sponsors you would like. Hope that helps - Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Napoleon bar ends work & so do a set (dont remember name)of their rectangular mirrors (installed where originals go without the vibration dampner). WARNING-CHEAP MIRRORS CAN SUFFER IN QUALITY, leaving you with a very,if at all, poor view of whats behind you! A Dennis Kirk catalogue can come in handy for shopping ideas. Lastly-Welcome to Badweb. edited by gearheaderiko on February 21, 2004 |

If you don't mind the price (~$150), Rizoma has some nice ones that will fit. I keep thinking about getting a set of them myself. lol... |

Welcome 1Nurse1. I have Napoleon barends and love them. But I have friends who have bought similar ones at bicycle shops for less than half the price and they are happy. |

I checked out the Rizoma site, the mirrors are real nice Shotgun , do you think a natural finish would look good? I didn't look at chrome because I was thinking that they would not look good on a sport bike. |

1nurse1 Give Al a call at American Sport Bike and ask for a price on CRG barend mirrors, the 3 inch ones.If they don't have them try Lockhart Phillips they will. These mirrors are really nice, not quite as expensive as Rizoma but you'll love them.My wife is a nurse as well and just bought her a BLAST for Xmas.Shes taking the riders edge program in May.Then we can do some riding together. |

The CRG bar ends (especially the LS versions) rock. I've been recommending them as my first choice for mirrors since LONG before I bought American Sport Bike. HIGHLY recommended, no one that gets them regrets it. Rock steady image, high quality construction, and the ball detent pivots are just FANTASTIC here in California where lane splitting is legal. We carry 'em in black but can get 'em polished. Al |

Hope that helps - I was searching the archives and looking for a site that has bar end mirrors - that are reasonably priced and decent quality. I haven't had much luck. I would like round maybe like 5 inches or so but no smaller. Anyone no a link? I have tried Dennis Kirk and some of the dealer sites links here..... Thanks |

O.K., I have hunted and hunted and am feeling a little on the inept side, I am looking for the "XBS mirror plugs" that EZ references in this post. Does anyone have a link to them? Or a part number? Or a trail of bread crumbs? I just ordered some 3rd eye mirrors and would like to have something to fill in the holes. Thanks |

so i scored some bar end mirrors , put them on and dont really like them, they look better than stock but i didnt like that they were plastic(witch if they would have had a better picture and if i would have read closely i would have known), or the mirror directly above your hand grips, wanted them more to the outside, i thought these were adjustable that way but they are not, so im sendin these ones back. they say they are mirrorcycles on the back.. ive been lookin at these barend mirrors, and even thinkin about getting them in chrome!!! to match the chrome blast axle covers i found. im likin the shiny lil parts on the black background. but im not sure might get black. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycle-Bar-End- Mirrors-3-Ducati-Triumph-BMW-CHROME_W0QQitemZ18015 0629888QQihZ008QQcategoryZ35603QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQcmdZViewItem i like these ones because they can handle bar mount or barend mount, they are a convex mirror, kinda weirds me out but ive heard good things about that type of mirror and visibility. has anyone else used these mirrors? are they stable? someone else ive talked to says they seem like they are flimsy, but they have to be better than the plastic ones right? and the crappy thing is i thought the ones i picked up were similar to the ones i want, but the pictures in the action were extreamly deceiving from odd angles and far away, no close up shots, _________________ 2001 blast, denso iridium racing plug, jardine exauhst,k&n air filter, ez stock intake mod, polished header. 10mm or 7/8". I like those with the turn signal indicators (and sometimes running lights). Those look a little funky to me, but might fit your style of Blast. I like Napoleons standard or bar end mirrors. BEWARE of cheap (esp. Emgo) mirrors. Often the mirrors are of 'doll house' quality and on a bike with a little vibration they are completely useless. |

I like small mirrors that tell me only what is directly to the side and behind me - for everything I usually check first anyway, mirrors are like a second check to make sure type of thing. Both of mine fold away in case of being taped while splitting lanes, and my city set are in-expensive 3" bar ends - 3rd-eye - they do the job well, and my traveling set are the 2"CRG - I chose them because they would do the job, are very good mirrors, and are small enough to use above bar-ends or in my case - bar end signals by Kellerman - and since they have survived over 10 drops - I recommend them - and they lessen vibration. Has anyone tried these with the SuperBike bars? Patty wants the mirrors up and out a bit more and I'm wondering if these would do the trick. Buell Blast Stem Mirrors [N0161.01A1A] http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/Details-1931- plist.html |

i have those mirrors (exact part number) on my blast. They stick father out but not up. The edge of the mirror is almost even with the end of the bar. The oem mirrors had my shoulder covering about 2/3 and looking square at the corner of my shoulder. With those it is only covering about 1/3 and looking more ar the side of my arms. I am also 6ft with long arms and still on oem bars. They also vibrate alot less and are more adjustable. |

Now that I've installed my superbike bars w/ 1" cut off each end the stock mirrors are blocked by my not very wide shoulders. My question is how do I know what mirrors will fit the Blast as I poke around for different options? Is there a standard mounting for all makes? Help me Thumper Forum! |
