Found a location and need to pick a date. Best time of year is in June, so we have the 14-15th, the 21-22nd, or 28-29th. After June the weather and tourists are just a pain. The location would be Weaverville CA and the venue would be Red Hill Hotel. http://redhillresorts.com/ This is a set of funky old cabins close to downtown. Their rates match the funkiness, but the location is in the heart of the Trinity's and has some of the best roads in the world. I have not set up anything with the hotel yet, not until there is a firm date and some kind of a head count. I can only think of a few of you that have the balls to ride over from east of the Rockies, but there should be enough of us out west to pull this off. If there is no interest, let me know now. Check out Hwys 3, 299, and 36 and you will see why I chose the location. Any bike would be welcome, but it is great to see any number of S2's get together. Am planning a CA trip to San Diego next year. Maybe I could sneak out early and meet up with the family after this event. I'm a maybe if that helps. | ||

I kow we have had the S2 gatherings around the country. Colorado, Texas, Michigan, East Coast, now the West Coast. Would be good to discuss the S2 group in more detail. work out a system of regional meeting places, East, West, North, South, and then every 5 years, have a Nation Wide event, maybe in East Troy, more central, and at our old production grounds. Frost on the ground. Makes me think of California. Where are we at with this? I see seven as possibles so far. (Being an optimist.)I'm told there's limited rooms in the area. If we're going to go on this, we should book a block of rooms soon. Can always book now and bail later, although we wouldn't want to encourage that. |
