Using the butt dyno, my X1 just did not have close to the same power as my S1. So, Have been working on a shotgun approach to try to fix, with several posts here on BWB. I found: 1. The "wrong" lean injectors in it. Who knows why? 2. Intake manifold to head gasket was leaking air. 3. Installing a different ECU with race map ran much better than the ECU with who knows what maps that came in the bike. 4. Now, tonight maybe the the last piece of the puzzle. Pulled the (factory, I think) Supertrapp apart. I found that the internal guts had slipped back against the outlet cap, creating a bottleneck between the disk plate and outlet. This also allowed the stuffing to come apart and creep into the inside of the preforated tube. Now I know why there was a hole in the bottom of the muffler, that is where the guts retaining screw was, I think. Decided to try the bike out without Supertrapp guts. A little loud but MUCH faster. Think the project is finally delivering results. |

yes the screw is the retainer, and fitting it will keep the disk space open for you |
