Naughty Nurse, Yourself, CJ, Charlotte, Nancy, Hellion, Grape and all the other Badweb Gals should pack up your gear and come on. I am 99% certain that you gals would give the boys a run for their money and have an absolute blast!!!! Leave the men home to tend to the children and housekeeping!!!! I'd put the challenge out but someone told me you gals don't have the B*((s to do it, nor the rear ends to put up with the distance!!!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - Newfie is in an evil mood today!!!!Damm SNOW |

OUCH Bads. I know I've been a no show in the past, but sometimes w/ my work and an 8 year old son, things get in the way. I will be there Tuesday so I get off the sh*t list. Naughty, congrats on the temps, I hope your taking a riders course, for the practice, but mostly because there are NO dates open for the road test thru the DMV (I know, I checked) which is B.S. No wonder so many people ride unlicensed. |

Way to go, Naughty! Congratulations. When Terri got her first Blast, we were out riding in 20 degree weather, and she couldn't stop smiling. You're going to have more fun than you can imagine. |

Much congrats NN and Bads1. I can't wait for my wife to get her own bike. It's gonna be a while since Becki is pregnant and due on June 12th. (Which is going to make the Homecoming "Interesting" to say the least. To make matters worse Rush is touring this summer and I usually try and catch them in Chicago and Milwaukee. The Milwaukee show is the June 7th! That's going to be a busy weekend. JT |

There temporary license until she takes the rider edge class. The temps let her ride during day light hours only and can't have a passenger. We don't have to wear helmets here by law but with temps you have to wear a helmet.Thats the way it works here Newfie. |

If she rides at night she needs an experienced chaperone. |

I actually checked into that to get clarification from the local PD when Heather had her temps and was told that the chaperone needs to be a passenger on the same bike - just riding ahead or behind didn't cover it in this officer's interpretation. BadS1 - sorry I wasn't able to get back to you, it was a pretty long weekend family-wise. |

I'd have to have asked the officer, "So you think that having an extra 150+lbs above the center of gravity is a good idea for a person who isn't experienced at motorcyle riding.... I suppose you're right, it is safer because the passenger can alway quick change seats with the driver if they start to do something wrong." In the words of Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon." Check out page 5, step 2 Item 4(c) http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/docs/cycle-handbook.pdf, also you should let that ignorant doink of a cop know, he sounds like the type that is always trying to find some reason to hassle you, he needs to know he has one less and take that rod out of his @$$. Trust me, he'll be greatful to find out you know more about his job than he does. |

I didn't say I agree that being on the same bike was a good idea, in fact I don't think it is. He didn't think it was either, but then again, he recommended against riding at night for an inexperienced rider. He never said he would cite anybody for it, but that was the way he interpretted it. I'm sure he'd be more than cordial upon hearing a correction to his interpretation if done in a more appropriate fashion. He wasn't looking to hassle anyone, I asked him. |

To totally change the subject... Doughnut (John) and I got together sunday afternoon for a few minutes. We went out and started the bike and took a look at the bags, which I finally took off the bike. When I got a good look at the back of the bags it turns out that there was a small hole in the right bag where the bumper had worn through the plastic outer shell due to vibration. There were no visible cracks and the only problem was the wearing from the bumper. I'll be there tonight, looking forward to talking with everyone. Hopefully next month we will all ride to the meeting. JT |

I know, I just like to cause trouble But the whole problem is, unless you were carrying a laptop and a satellite uplink when he pulled you over, there's no way to get him to admit his interpretation is wrong. So if he won't use common sense when he's interpreting the laws, we're all screwed. But I do support our boys in blue pig headed though they may sometimes be, they are only human after all. |
