Can the oil seal behind the drive belt front sprocket be changed easily? I have primary oil pissing out, pretty sure that it is coming from behind the sprocket. Anything special that I need to know? |

The thing you have to know is the thing you have already learned, the factory set the drive belt way too tight. Once the sprocket is off, it's as easy as the front main seal on a VW. Don't set it too deep. |

"Don't set it too deep.' Once everything is mounted, is the shaft/bearing supposed to be flush with the outside lip of the sprocket? In other words, how deep should be the "hole" when the sprocket is mounted on the shaft/bearing? Mine is definitely not mounted flush... No leaks. (Message edited by kalali on August 22, 2013) |
