I guess this is another "in your face, nyah, nyah, nyah" posting of what a tough winter we Buellers are braving out here in San Diego. Here are a couple of snaps from a San Diego Harley sponsored ride from San Diego -> Palm Desert -> Salton Sea -> Anza-Borrego two Sundays ago. Thanks to Fred and Steve and everyone else who organized the ride. Thanks also to Al Lighton of American Sport Bike for rousting me to attend the ride. Team San Diego This was our playground. It looks like a beautiful ride. Yesterday, it got up to 37 F here, and the big chunk of ice in front of the driveway shrank considerably. Today, it's supposed to get up to 40. If it does, I'm going out for a ride. PMS is making me crazy.Woo Hoo,Woo Hoo,Woo Hoo,Woo Hoo,Woo Hoo(in my best Daffy Duck voice) |

That is not far from my house guys, from my place its the other side of the hill. I "have" to go up the other side (up to mountain center/Idywillld if any of you remember that from the cali Brag tour) through some awesome twisties to get to that lookout. If you go down that road it takes you into Palm Desert (right by Palm Springs). Any one who is jealous I will be hosting a BBQ/ ride from my place this spring!!! |

Definitely keep us in the loop. I'm in Yuma, Az and would have loved to meet you guys up there. It's just a short jaunt from El Centro! Charles |

Hey, Reindog...most excellent road. It reminds me of a section of Hwy 36 between Redding and Fortuna in the way it hugs the landscape rather than cutting thru it. Very cool. I've never ridden the roads down in your area before. Perhaps that will have to change. I haven't been suffering too badly up here in central Sierra...took the RS up the 190 last Saturday. |

I'm the guy in the black and orange with the cheesy grin. I just wanted to let people know that was my first group ride and that I had a great time. |

Sandblast - I'd like to be in that loop too! Not that far from LA and I have a place to hole up in in Palm Springs at a friends place. For most of you young pups out there, that road is the one they used for filming "It's a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World" back in the early part on the 2nd half of the last century. Jimmy Durante goes off the edge and ends up kicking the bucket, literally! Way Funny- worth renting for sure. That piece of street is one you'll want to put in your "best rides" book. AL |

Everybody is big time welcome, I dont have an exact route picked out yet but it will include those roads... As soon as it is a bit warmer I will set a date that is hopefully good for all and we will start at my place. It wont be too long from now. EBriggs- those San Diego Sportfighter guys are cool huh? A couple years ago I had just gotten my first bike, a black Blast, and I showed up at the American Sportbike bar-b-que. I did not know anybody but I was looking at the two racebikes that Fread brought to show everyone and they got me a chair and I hung out under their shade all day and soaked up the conversation. Way cool. |
