I pulled it out and resealed the velocity stack (butthead mechanic did not have it installed correctly.
Riding later today.

Just got back from my ride. With 12 air box cover and the race kit installed CORRECTLY, the bike flies and I mean flies.
I am a happy man. Recommend this combo to everyone.

Ok took the snorkel out a moment ago....holy shit its a big bastard aint it!!!
The breath hole is nearly twice as wide at the bottom now!!
Hopefully should notice some kinda change??
Maybe more noise? |

Awaiting my XB12 air box lid damn thing is on back order. Actually above freezing today but now the roads have turned to s@*t. Where are you SPRING????? |

WOW! Rode my XB9R yesterday with the 12 airbox cover and yes I also found the snorkel in and a dealer installed the race kit. Oh well it was one of the first XB's the dealer sold.
Back to the ride- my XB has been on the dyno at AMI in Daytona for Bikeweek, and on the local H-D dealer here. It did 80hp at the back wheel both times. It always had the hesitation around 4000+/- now it revs to the limiter! Rode my buddies RC 51 and then back on the XB it is gonna be fun in Daytona- great improvement-HIGHLY recommend it. |

I think I may have read somewhere that the 12 has an adequate snorkel... Or at least better than the 9's... I could be wrong though. I say yank it, test it, tell us . |
