what is the best rpm to run a xb9 ? I don't want to lug the eng .I have been riding a 1999 m2 which pulls way down to with out lugging thanks |

Where it feels 'right' just don't bounce it off the limiter all day. |

While riding to work, I generally shift around 4500. If I'm feeling sporty, I might run it to 5500 or 6000. Only on the racetrack did I consistently run it anywhere near the rev limiter. On the low end, she'll chug along at 2500 if I'm in the lower gears flowing with traffic. If I need to accelerate, I'll just drop a gear and nail it. It all really depends on the conditions. The Xb9 likes to be revved, so above 3000 is best. (although I have always found that just bouncing off the rev limiter is about right!) |

Mine is happiest up around 3000, down around 2000 for too long tends to mess up the plugs. |
