All, Per my previous post, I am taking the shotgun approach to trying to get my X1 to run the way it should. So, one step was to pull the injectors and have them cleaned and operation verified. I bought a set of '99 X1 injectors on Ebay to send out to expedite the process. Got them back, but they were different than the ones in my 2000 X1. The '99 injectors are Bosch, quite a bit smaller. They flow 276cc/min at 3bar. DC resistance is 11.7 ohms. Just got the 2000 model injectors back. They are Siemens, Flowed 248cc/min, DC resistance is 13.4 ohms. Before I put the bike back together, can anyone confirm that the tan top Siemens are correct for the 2000 model?

The injectors in my X1 look like neither. They are black. Between the two you have, sizewise they are closer to the blue one. |

Thanks Kalali, looked on ebay, see what you mean. What is the probability of getting 2 wrong sets of injectors, one of which was in the bike and "running"? |

Any body ever think to check the ENGINE TIMING, make sure the INTAKE SEALS are GOOD, and the REAR HEADER "GASKET" is GOOD before you start making your engine run better ??? Take your INJECTORS and get them FLOW MATCHED(and what ever else they do) !!! |

All of the injectors I have seen for tube frame FI bikes are Sagem. Flow/rate is not really identifiable by a photo alone. But the one on the right does not look right. Jeff (Message edited by rempss on August 17, 2013) |

Buellistic, Yes, I am replacing all intake seals and O rings as a part of this project, and the O2 sensor. The cc's reported are from my injector cleaning/testing service. Not trying to make the bike run "better", but like it should in the first place. I found one web posting that had the stock black injectors at 296cc/min. If that info is correct, then the brown ones in the bike would have been 16% low on fuel flow. No wonder my AFV was at 140% |

If you take a OEM injector to a SHOP that does injectors they will identify the injector and be able to tell you the flow rate and what automobiles it is used on ... |

I have a set coming of what I am sure is the correct injectors, Harley part #29533-99Y superseded by P0786.02A8. They are black, have 103501 01f008a 33423 numbering. Having them cleaned and tested, will report the flow and resistance when I get them back, but the flow should be a lot higher than the tan tops that were in the bike. |
