I was in first gear putting out of the parking garage. No abuse. I am really easy on my bike. I think maybe the busted shock put some strain on the belt, what with all the bouncing up and down. Ah, who knows. |

Buellistic, Apparently not. I was able to find one the last time it broke, (1 out of 7 had it) but not this time. Each time I asked them to see if they had a Sportster belt (then I had to convince them they are the same part) and the answer was no. I guess they don't break often enough to stock them. |

Yup, I called them too. You must have bought their last one. Even the BadWeB sponsor I called had to order it. |

Hey, sorry to jump in with an off-topic post, but I have a question. Has anyone here dealt with Cowboy H-D in Beaumont? I'm about 90% certain that I want to buy a bike (actually two) from them, because the deal they're offering looks really good. I just want to make sure they're reputable and that it's as good a deal as it sounds before I commit. I am a soldier stationed at Fort Polk, LA, currently living in beeeyoootiful downtown Baghdad. I'm only a couple of hours away from Houston, (I can do it in less than two hours in my wife's Prelude, but don't tell her I drive her car like that!). The Cowboy salesman has got a 2003 Blast for $3500 and a 2003 XB9R for $7500. If y'all know anyone that can beat that, please let me know. I am definitely interested in getting both bikes new. Thanks. Oh, and once I get home, (well, not home, but back to Louisiana) then I'd like to try to make it down to one of the rides sometime. |

seanp, I would look at e-bay first. You can get a better deal there. as far as I am concerned for the hassles of dealing with the stealers,,, ( dealers) It would be worth it!!! But thats just my opinion. OH AND THANKS FOR PUTTING UP THE FIGHT FOR ALL OF US THAT SLEEP SAFE IN OUR BEDS DUE TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU! You will always have a home to crash in when you visit Houston. |

BBQ and refreshments at El Ranchito Chingadero next Saturday, February the 21st. OK, let's try this again. The long-range weather forecast for the week looks good. Same plan of attack as before, except minus the rain and cold weather. Anybody who wants to come, drop me an email with a head count so I can be sure of enough food & beverage. Blake, your race bike ought to be ready by now--how about it? r-t edited by road_thing on February 17, 2004 |

OK, speak now or forever hold your piece! (RR, not you, you're not content just to hold it...) Anybody else coming Saturday? Blake? The weather's gonna be great and I promise not to organize any work parties. Heck, if ya'll behave yourselves (fat chance) I'll fire up the super-motard and you can go slide it around on the gravel road. (BYOBandages). r-t |
