Am trying to create a stash of spares for my S1. In looking at the handlebar switches, it looks like the XB series uses the same as the tubers and I found only one 2009 comment about compatibility in the archives. Just wondering if anyone have any problems physically fitting the XB handlebar switches to the tubers 7/8. I have small hands so I will cut off that little button inside the housing so I can rotate it on the handlebar. I have no problems working on the electrical side as long as I can get the correct connectors. Roderick |

XB and tuber (post-S2, anyway) all use 7/8" bars. You may run into having to change throttle grips...or you may not, since Traction grips worked on all late tubers and on XBs, so the tubes may/should be the same, along with the cables. |

So I should have no problems getting both handlebar switches, start/stop, lighting, turn signals, etc., from an XB bike and using it on my S1? If outer appearances are any indicators, they all look the same to me. Roderick |

The switchgear on my S3 is straight up CEV stuff from Moto Guzzi 850T3 or convert /G5. I have no idea about wiring harness but how difficult can Italian electrics be? That is just a source for you late 70s to late 80s Italian |
