Hello All, Yes, I am still alive, just haven't had anything to post. So after almost 4 years and over 23,000 miles, the 1125r earned her dragons. Datallone and I finally made a trip out west. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4yggegckifcxrhj/2013-08- 05%2019.03.53.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/rew61hfceu2qm20/2013-08- 01%2016.08.55.jpg Wish the trip would have been without incident, but shit happens. While going to pass when I shouldn't, had that feeling like I had missed a shift, but the noise from the rear wheel told me otherwise. So much for them being lifetime belts. A huge thanks to Ulywife for being the awesome person we all know she is. She was able to locate a belt for me and arrange a trailer loan from a local person, Mike Breedlove. Huge thanks to Mike, he went above and beyond for someone he didn't know. Besides the use of the trailer, he provided the work place and tools to help get me back on the road. Next time I visit, I will be signing the wall over the urinal in the garage. And finally, huge thanks to Datallone for pulling a trailer up 28 from Franklin to Fontana in the dark. As far as I know, no youtube videos were produced of me during this trip. |

Kristi - Talked to Mikey this evening and he told me the story. I checked the C3 page to see if anyone had posted... sure enough. Thanks for connecting the dots. Mike - I'm sure you know what we've most all come to know... Breedlove's damned good people. |

Dave Barr will be in New Bern, NC this coming Saturday 8/17: I just heard it on the radio on the way home from work tonight. I'm a little perturbed that I will be busy with other things and won't be able to meet Dave Barr. But at least I will be hanging out with an old Buell riding buddy, so I will still have a stellar day. I was able to take pics of Dave Barr's bike many moons ago at an H-D rally in Milwaukee, however... 1313 |

K-RAP! I just saw some footage from Dave Barr's ride in New Bern and the surrounding area today. Guess what Mr. Barr was riding? A Barricade Orange 2009 (black engine) Buell XB12X Ulysses! Sunken ditch! The footage was on WCTI 12 - the local New Bern station - and as of yet, it's not on their website. Plenty of air time for that 'piece of Harley-Davidson history', 1313 |

We saw that this morning. Hate we were out of town and missed out. We had a Uly pass us coming home early evening on US-264 near Wilson NC. Only bike on the road with all the rain in the area. The rider had Harley rain gear. Anyone we know? |

Here's the footage! I guess I need to pay closer attention...it's actually a 2010 ('pointy' turn signals) Ulysses in Sunfire Yellow. If there's a repeat, I'll be sure to be there! 1313 |

That would have been a pretty cool event. I read about it late Friday (early Saturday?), but with the weather and inability to line things up with Brankin, it was a no go. What an amazing rider adn human being. Mikethebike, Glad Breedlove was able to help you out. Kristi sent me a text asking for Breedlove's number and telling me the circumstances, and I knew you'd be in good hands. Franklin and the folks there are fantastic! It's been ages since I've posted, it's been a crazy summer with w*rk, weddings and a two week trip to Hawaii (suckless). Here's to riding more this fall, and getting to the WVBR one of these years! Hope to see more of you in the upcoming months on the Blue Ridge! Prior |

DAGNABBIT! I forgot all about the Bull City Rumble this past weekend. I guess I'll never make it there. Oh well, the time spent in the garage was well worth it as it's finally starting to take shape. Won't be long now and it will be time for a garage warming party... Man, non-ethanol gas in the XT-BOLT makes it run just like it should! It's a shame it's taken over 5 years to figure it out. Just some random thoughts... 1313 |

I found out some disappointing news Saturday. If anyone's interested in any upcoming EBR products, you won't be able to get them from Carolina Coast in Wilmington. Just an FYI, 1313 |

OMG! The 1190 RX looks even better in person than it does online. Too bad the camera on my phone doesn't seem to want to take a decent picture indoors - otherwise the following would be so much better. The only bodywork on the black bike that is just straight black is the front fender.
I'm told it really pops in sunlight, but these indoor pics show it ain't 'just' black:
Amazingly, I almost think I like the yellow better than the black.
Like the black, it is not just a straight eye-searing yellow. I don't know if it is a tie-in to the 1995 S2 Thunderbolt, but somehow they got the molded in color bodywork to appear pearl yellow:
I have never had the opportunity to take a picture of a motorcycle from this angle.
And one of the most AWESOME things about the 1190RX:
Scuttlebutt at the show was that Ray Price has shown interest in becoming a dealer, 1313 |

Was in Fayettevile the other day and decided to stop in "chopper" shop that usually has some nice trade ins on the floor. Whoaaaaaaa Ducati's and Triumph everywhere!!!! Salesman is telling me about the Diavel Duc which is what caught my eye! Then I seen the Diavel Strada!!!! Sold, this will be my next bike! But it was the salesman that I knew I knew from somewhere, come to find out that Ray Price bought this facility and the salesman was Jordan!! Was a beautiful shop, and Jordan was really pushing the demo bikes being available for test ride. Getting an itch to go ride the big red devil |

Yes, I should be out riding today in this perfect weather, but had to cast my vote at the union hall for the new contract. We ended up with a fair contract, increasing insurance rates are hitting everybody hard, sucks. So,I'm waiting for the fedex truck with my newly recovered seat from Sargent's for the Ascot. Installed the rebuilt carbs last Sunday, new rear shocks will be on today. I'll be taking the body work next Friday for an estimate for repaint to a well known G'boro moto painter. Going to switch the candy red to black. JB2, if you happen to see this post, sorry brother, I've got to have everything in place so I can put the final touches on it during my 2 week X-mas break. Time to fire up the smoker for wings and work on the bike. Later! |

Okay, looks like it's a done deal for the Ascot paint job. I looked up one my Dad's old friends, and he's still painting bikes with no intention of retiring. He's got to be over seventy with well over 40 years of experience. What a cool old man. I dropped off the parts and checked out some of his work. Simply amazing custom work. My bike will be gloss black with a hint of blue pearl to sparkle in the sunshine. He'll be finished with it within a month. Can't wait to see the results! |

Hey guys- I checked EBR.com tonight, and Ray Price of Fayetteville has been added as a dealer. That must have happened in the last couple of days, because there weren't any EBR dealers in NC the last time I looked. That's pretty close to some of you, right? That's pretty close to some of you, right? My math says ~2 hours is significantly closer than 6 hours. Especially when that ~2 hours is 'backroads' and that 6 hours is interstate. And that is close enough in my book! 1313 P.S. Thanks Hugh, for the FANTASTIC news! |

Check my post about 6 up!!! He told me that day that they were pushing to EBR in that facility! Its prime because all the military being there. One thing that I cannot wait for is If any of you have ever been to Ray Prices facility and looked at bikes, then you know they push test rides of their machines!!!! May actually get to ride one yet!! if anyone plans on going let me know, its only about an hour from my house, plus Im working in Fayeteville now. |

Merry Christmas from East Troy, my fellow C3 Buellers & Badwebbers! I guess I wasn't as good as I thought I was this year as there wasn't an 1190RX under the tree for me. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... Someplace else! 1313 |

If they get 19 more people to buy tickets, they will also have one in Greenville. I just bought a ticket for the Greenville showing. After my purchase, it now shows 37 seats left, but it says CONFIRMED (the even has met it's threshold, etc.)! It's THIS Thursday night @ 7:30! Before the holidays I told a friend back in Milwaukee about it. He bought a ticket and was able to see the movie and said it was great, like a modern day interpretation of On Any Sunday. I can't wait! 1313 Oh yeah, BTW, there is also Buell/EBR content in the movie! (Message edited by 1313 on January 13, 2014) |

Just saw Why We Ride tonight. HOW FREAKIN' COOL!!! Pertinent content that shouldn't be a spoiler: A smattering of Zero motorcycles throughout. Geoff May's pit with both his 1190RS's. Aaron Yates 1190RS being pushed through the pits. Klock Werks Firebolt and Blast LSR bikes. Dave Barr and his 2010 Uly very prominently to close it all out. LOVED IT! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! FIVE STARS! TWO THUMBS UP! Can you tell I dug it? 1313 |
