The 1125 starts well in road-racing, too. It has good grunt and pull out of the corners, just not the top end of the inline 4s. |

Since you said the 1190 kit I'm going to assume that is an 1125. But I'm just curious as to if it was an R CR or long shot the RR. Chris. |

Disregard my last post. I just now read the thread topic. Sorry. Rather than deleting my ignorance I'm posting this so I can learn from my inefficiencies. Haha Chris. |

After a quick search on google, looks like it's around 130 or so. So, what exhaust are you going to get next? Saw you had the d&d, then barker but both are for sale now? Edit, watched the videos again, he passed you at about 120 mph or so, right around the top of 3rd gear for you. Assuming he's got an aftermarket pipe on it, you're probably at a 25-30 hp deficit, even with the barker pipe on the bike. I think those were somewhere around 170 hp (crank) even on the older models. Right off the top you're down 25 hp and at the rate he was passing, I could see it being a little more even. (Message edited by d_adams on August 05, 2013) |

I want a full pipe but can't really afford it at this time without selling my other two. Ebr is out and your pipe is next on the list. How much power would I see over a barker slip on? Any loss of torque? It really sucked that I botched my launch against the zx14. I knew I had to get everything perfect and I messed up the launch so bad I had to back out 2-3tjmes and I went into 2nd with the wheel in the air. I could have held him off at least a little longer if I got a decent launch 2 step is a feature in the ebr ECM that allows you to set a rev limiter to launch at. think of it as an "in gear, clutch in" rev limiter to whatever you choose. You should be able to just hold the throttle wide open and not have it go over that limit then you just slip the clutch. I have mine set to 4,500 allows me to slightly bog it and use the torque and I don't launch WOT as the stock wheelbase will put you on your ass in a hurry. I kind of just use it as a guide to know my launch Rpms are always the same. (Message edited by Deanh8 on August 05, 2013) (Message edited by Deanh8 on August 05, 2013) |

I posted dyno pics of mine stock a while back. Started at 122 hp, I forget the peak torque, but it was somewhere around 70-75 ft/lbs. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/537821.html?1277048404 for the early stuff, including the stock dyno run on mine. This is where it was at last year with the full system. Basically, an 18 hp gain, maybe 15-20 ft/lbs more torque. Mine was one of the "weak" or average motors. It all depends on the dyno, operator, conditions, etc. However, a 20-25% gain in torque over stock is HUGE. Same for hp, mine is 15% more than it had stock. Man, looking at these old charts is depressing really.

No Dean, depressing is - 126-128 at 3 dynos/operators/weather in 2008. bone stock. Last Summer I get 114-115 HP and very scratchy even at #5 smoothing. K&N, Drummer, early EBR "open intake-open exhaust" ECM) Still working on that issue. Good news is I finally got the rotor off and got the right Loctite and torque. Everything was tight(good) coming out and going in, maybe sounded a bit quieter after. I'll probably weasel a dyno run or 3 after I finish a new switch loom for Loretta. This is the third and hopefully the last time I deal with this issue. O crap. Sorry for the digression that lead to a hijack.... Races are always cool, especially when you're ... OMG ... responsible about it. Zack |
