Peter, I just got the bike this weekend. I will probably end up taking off the chin fairing. It does fit very cleanly, but I've always had a "less is more" approach to bikes. Seeeu911, Thanks, the rear pulley is made by RC Components. Mbsween, I have been waiting to find the right bike for a while now. Think I nailed it with this one. I'm REALLY liking it! Tripp, Very cool! Timbo |

Woohoo! My new Corbin seat arrived today! Check it out! Seat panel is black basketweave, the rear panel is dark grey with medium grey inset flames. It was a custom order and delivered very quickly, I thought it was going to be at least two more weeks.

The sun was going down, so the lighting wasn't real great for taking pics (colors are off). This angle shows a bit how the flames on the seat pick up the ghost flame theme on the tank cover. There's not an infinite selection of colors from Corbin, but I'm happy with how close the saddle colors are to the paint colors

Thanks guys! I took it for a test run last night, very comfy saddle. There's room to move around a bit, but the cup at the back of the seating area provides a nice pseudo-backrest too. It'll keep me from flying off the back of the bike in those high speed romps The only issue I noticed is the inner part of the saddle (front sides) protrudes more and as a result I can't get me feet down as far. Being "vertically challenged" ( at 5'-8" ) doesn't help- LOL! |

Vertically Challenged? I'm only 5'-4" with a 30" inseam. Now that's vertically challenged. By the way, the seat looks awsome! |

ARGH! I got hosed on inspection today because of the clear taillight lens on my X. It didn't matter that I had the LED taillight cluster behind the lens, they just flat refused to accept the clear lens regardless. I called the guy at "clearalternatives.com" to hopefully get some evidence that the inspection guys were wrong, a DOT number or something. His advice? Take it to another inspection station. Gee, thanks. As luck would have it there's only one within 20 miles or so that does bikes. I went to the H-D dealership and ordered a red lens, guess I'll do the swap-a-roo every year for inspection! |

Tres, Was it at a HD dealership??? Ask them about the legality of some the pipes they inspect. Ask them what it take it good for one inspection , change it later for whatever you prefer. Alex |

==Was it at a HD dealership???== No, I live in a small town that has one place that does inspections, it's an oil change place. I inspect all my bikes and cars there, they're a good bunch. I don't blame them, they're just following rules. ==It is only two screws no biggie.== The point wasn't anything to do with the simple process of swapping the lens which is an easy task. The point is why in the world would a translucent white lens with red LED cluster not be allowable in Texas when it is just as easy to see (if not easier) than a red lens. And why would it be legal in some states, but not others. And why is my glass-shattering Force pipe not a problem while the lens is? Because the laws are wacked, that's why.
