Hey Guys, My name is Jesse and I am new to the forum. I currently own an 06 XB12X, an 02 X1W, and just became the owner of a 98 S1W. The previous owner of the 98 S1W swapped the original seat and tail unit out for the twin tail setup. I prefer the look of the original setup and would like to put the factory tail back on it. If anyone has one or knows of one for sale please contact me. I would also be interested in trading if someone is interested in the twin tail setup. Oh and by the way the bike is white. Thanks! |

Congrats on the new bike. A couple on eBay now, this top one looks like the best deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Buell-S1-Lightning-re ar-tail-section-fairing-cowl-fender-/231024048435? pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35ca1b39 33&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-S1-S1W-Lightning-Sea t-seat-pan-fairing-base-1995-1998-13-6-/2811402110 74?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item41754 32d82&vxp=mtr |

You need an S2 more than you need a solo seat section. |

An 1125 cr is the next target after the s1w is sorted. |

The twin tail was an oem option. Congratulations on the new baby! |

I just prefer the look of the shorter tail. I think I am going to buy the corbin seat so the tail is the important part. |

Don't forget the solo seat mounting bracket (where the tail light bolts onto). |

....only if they changed to the twintail bracket to begin with. If your taillight is tucked way up under the tail section...they never changed it. |

Previous owner actually came up with the stock tail and seat. So I have a twin tail setup for sale. |

Also the tail light is tucked back under so it was never moved back. |
