I start the rebuild of my suspension next weekend... Cartridges and 0.70 springs up front. Rear gets the 0.80 rear spring, emulator and a new head. The best part is that the new Grand Cherokees use nitrogen in the suspension compressors, so I can just recharge the rear shock at work. New seat is on the way. I tried. I just can do the stocker.
Bummed but can not make it this year. This is move in weekend at college, so will be moving my oldest to college that weekend. You guys have one for me.
I got some new riding gear that I simply must try out on a trip. This should be it!
On a visit to Cycle Gear the other night I found that they had a half price sale on a nice set up of some great gear. Since part of my riding funk as of late has been that my old gear was just worn out, I figured this will get me back into permagrin again.
New BILT double mesh pants for venting that awful summer swamp ass fungi fumes that build up after a few hundred 90F miles.
A new BILT Explorer jacket, supposed to be water proof, with crazy numbers of pockets and pouches and great ventilation.
And a new pair of BILT riding boots. They are so comfortable I wore them home from the store rather than my Nikes.
Bilt guarantees their stuff for five years for something or other. We shall see how that goes. A lot of my Buell HD stuff started to fail at three years, but they would not cover broken zippers and worn out velcro parts. Ya fall off a bike one time.....oh well.....at least it wasn't MY bike.
I am going to try to leave out of here on Thursday. I need to head back home on Saturday.
