I think this a must have for anyone who plans to keep the bike for a while. Even if you plan to sell it, it is still a great "fix" to not only help the next guy but also avoid giving Buell a bad name... Matrim - Thanks again for your initiative to follow this through. Can't wait to get mine. |

Hey all, I was hoping to start shipping all the parts tomorrow, but I ran into a small setback. The screws I ordered a while back are back-ordered at the moment and are estimated to arrive anywhere from a couple days to two weeks. I have a handful of screws from the past batch so I can ship a few parts out tomorrow, but the rest will have to wait. If anyone has a problem with this just shoot me a PM and I'll get your money back until I can actually ship yours out. |

Im fine and don't have a current emergency, in fact probably don't plan to use them for at least two weeks anyway, please move someone with a current problem ahead of me since I can accept a late delivery. |

Possumtrot and s1owner; yours are on their way. For everyone else, it looks like the screws "shipped" today and I will probably have them by Monday. |

Perfect timing for me as mine started to act up this weekend. Ended up removing the screws to pull the assembly and remove the cap from the bottom. |

The main problem may be the phenolic lip thingy attached to the cap spreading out or expanding with age or gas. If you get it out, just sand it down and it will work fine for awhile. But if this part was made from aluminum it would not be a problem the way I see it. Hey trash me all you need to but that is my 2 cents worth. It looks like it gets to be to large of a diameter to release from the cap to pull up. |

Received mine yesterday and just finished the modification. I decided to use a small reamer vs. using the drill. Its a little easier to control on such soft plastic piece which I believe is a poor design choice. All in all, the kit is much better than Buell's design and very well made.. Thanks again Matrim. BTW, it works much better if the nut is not too tight. |
