Went digging; here's a link to the actual class action. http://www.chimicles.com/buell-1125r-motorcycle-st alling-and-no-start-problems-class-action-investig atiion Has anybody made contact on this? And hasn't there been previous investigations RE: stator failure and HD weaseled their way out of it? Is anyone else bothered by the fact that they misspelled investigation? (Maybe just my OCD coming out) |

Somebody needs to tell them that it doesn't affect 2008 models ... ... and that it affects CRs too. |

Got a call from the lawyer today, explained the situation as my knowledge permitted My 2009 was bought with the harness fix, and only 120 miles. 90% of my riding was long mountain rides were heat wasn't a big issue, but I still had mine fail by 4400 miles. |

He just gathered information. He seemed very unaware of the issues, and I had to explain everything from what a stator is to what the HD fix was supposed to do. I plan to email him some follow up information, including links to the forum here. |

I keep wanting to shoot them an email but I admit I'm having a hard time motivating myself to go back and dig up work orders so I can provide proper information.. I guess I'm just a bit demoralized with the situation, it feels as though HD will walk away from this, leaving us holding the bag no matter what we do. NHTSA obviously hasn't found any issues since they never followed up on the matter, HD doesn't care, and now suddenly a random law office wants to start building a case. I want to believe... but I'm not entirely convinced just yet. |

As many threads as there are, this would be a good place for them to register and gather data. |

Well look if you can sue someone for spilling coffee on yourself! There is always someone who will listen. My daughter had a tablet from HP that had quite a few problems. Hp said it was just her and she had to do something. I listed a complaint with there service department and a few years later a little company got a class action lawsuit going and her laptop was replaced. So have faith and hope fellas... Ya never know. |

the attorney called me today. we spoke for about 6 minutes. He is still trying to decide if there is any merit to the case. I told him I no longer drove in the city as the bike would discharge in traffic and that I had no interest in revving my engine to keep the bike charged because it made me feel like a 16 year old wanting attention! |

I'm kind of wondering if I should join. HD has replaced my stator 3 times now. They replaced the rotor with the last one. VR failed and was replaced between #2 and 3. Have had no charging issues since the stator and rotor replacement. That was 13,000 miles ago. HD covered it even though warranty had expired by then. It was an on going issue. I ride fairly easily, not a lot of high rev time, some traffic time. |

They called me to follow up last night. Apparently they haven't decided to go forward with a class action suit, but are going to mail H-D a letter explaining the possibility of a class action suit. He said they would be sending me a letter agreeing to retain their firm for the purposes of a class action suit, and I think he mentioned a copy of the letter they plan to send to H-D. I'll post up after receiving their letter |

I wonder if I can sign up? I no longer have my 1125CR but I did have to buy the rotor upgrade and tool to do the job not to mention all the relays I had to keep throwing at it. |

class action law-suit 1. Will take years. 2. If it settles, will be for pennies on the dollar. 3. As a credit towards the purchase of other HD products. .. useless. |

Apparently the firm has been in contact with HD and are nearing an agreement. If anyone else is interested, you should visit the site and click the link to email. http://www.chimicles.com/buell-1125r-motorcycle-st alling-and-no-start-problems-class-action-investig ation |
