A Badweb success story: A great guy who works for HD let his uly XP go here in classifieds. I saw it, used no logic, and managed to convince him it belonged in New Zealand. Fast forward a few months, it arrived to a pile of mods waiting (some came in the cases) including Full Micron Serpent exhaust. Its got 2010 wheels, rotors, etc, siren, lights, everything...except the blue/red reflectors that go over the lights. Soooo........who knows someone who has a set I can buy?? SHOULD be able to get you a part number from whelen tomorrow. I need to pull my light anyway. Been trying also to get info on the new light that is the same size and dual functions as a flood or driving light in addition to cop mode. |

Timbobuell! Legend. Thanks for the info. Are you looking for the same part then? Have you got an XP? I got a guy who has just said if I can't find the part, he'd swap for my PAR36 white lights. Sounds like I have a larger size than stock? Its hard to tell from the pictures what size STOCK was. Mine look like 4inch, but was told PAR36. I'll have a look tomorrow. So even though a swap is a cheaper option for me, I'm curious about finding new ones if you are. I'll have a look at the websites you suggested, and see if I can find even just the red/blue reflectors. That would also be an inexpensive option. Again, really appreciate your info, as its hard as hell when no one has the same bike as you other than the police on the other side of the world from New Zealand!

long Details The front lights are known as 2E series (TIR6), E being extended, 2F, F being flat. Below is the link for the exact light fitted to my bike, I currently have white but the light shown as (extended lens) red should be available in any color. The mount on my bike is 110 id and 123 od, or 4.33” id. This is it… There is an adaptor ring which you might already have fitted stamped with part number 63608. The light is stamped part number 63607. http://www.whelen.com/pb/Automotive/ProductSheets/ Lightheads/PAR32-36_4inch_Round_SuperLED.pdf flat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WEcKSaSaQs New version of the 2E series, brighter and different looking but identical mount. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGP49uyxoAQ http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/lightheads.php Options There is a new unit that is capable of steady burn or fog light mode. It is about the same price. It should work on our bikes, however getting the fog mode to work through our under seat cop computers is in question. It may be that you would need to install supplemental wiring to accomplish its function. http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/details_prod.php ?head_id=12&cat_id=74&prod_id=143 Below a par 36 which I believe is the same size as our 32 with the mounting ring installed. Notice the steady state fog or driving light that also functions as police light, white for driving and red, blue or white available for police mode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVh7jwaTlaU Par 36, might fit without the mount (part 63608) we have installed on stock light, but yes, dual mode, phase 1 or 2, flashing or steady. I asked this question over a year ago from Whelen, but I did not push it. No answer Another option, which I am going for. If I need to wire in another switch for the steady burn or driving light mode then I desire to mount conventional very bright led lights in the position of the current forward mounted lights. What I have to find out is if the power supplied from the cop computer is enough amps to drive the led for police mode. The system I envision would have a separate power supply for driving mode and a diode to prevent current flow back to the under seat computer. The best driving lights I have come across are made by Clearwater and they have a larger unit. Leds are low current draw, almost too bright without a dimmer unit installed, and can off on repeatedly without damage unlike hid. They do get hot and may limit themselves if overheated. Below offers a disturbing amount of light, so much so that I understand that they are unusable unless wired with a dimmer. Wiring diagrams are available to do what ever you want as brightness and function with existing high beams, independent, what ever you want.. http://clearwaterlights.com/ Click on the big one. 6000 lumens, (sick amount of light) This idea has a flaw and that is the existing light itself provides the flashing sequence, just hook up the black and white to a 12v power supply and you will see what I mean. I may just stay stock and mount the Clearwater Led’s separately. Separate dimmer and switch from all stock lighting. Lens I have found red and blue lenses at tractor supply and truck stops but they do not fit without trimming. They were cheap but I have never used them or mounted them. |

Are you interested in RED/RED? I have a pair that have never been installed. they also were from an XP, I used everything except the lights. They have the entire original black cover, and zinc mounting brackets, Just like I see in your picture. |

I have a complete set of blue/red police lights on my 08 X. I purchased these used so I might be making some assumptions here. The two front lights are PAR32 with adaptor rings to fit inside the PAR36 housing. The ones I have are blue/red with blue/red lens. I purchased the clear lens (light covers) separately and converted them to look like regular fog lights when the LEDs are OFF. Since the other LEDs on the bike (TIR3 LEDs) are already clear (flashing red or blue), I can now run the bike without any covers to the two PAR32 lights and not attract unneeded attention. These PAR32 lights are the older style where they do not flash on their own - which is why the flashing computer was needed that mount under the box. Since I actually do use my lights in rides (I usually ride sweep/tail), I would like to convert my lights to legal colors - red/yellow in the back and white/yellow in the front. If anyone is interested in a trade or have white/yellow TIR3 and white PAR32 for sale, let me know. Thanks! |

Eaglerider is there a part number on your par32. I just pulled a front light, hooked straight to 12 volts and it flashes. I do have the underseat computer. |

Haha JOHN!! You neglected to tell me one vital piece of information about your covers...they are par32 BUT THEY HAVE A RING TO FIT PAR36! Great news that they will work on PAR36, and I don't have to get new lights...or do I? The current PAR36 are halogen and drain quite a bit on the battery. I also have them connected to a separate switch, to work independent of other lights. |

Timbobuell, under your OPTIONS heading, you have a link to the whelen light and also a youtube clip. They're not the same light though right? The youtube clip light would be amazing, and ideal if you could hook it up simply and separately to the current stock XP setup. What is the model of that youtube light, and does it come in both PAR32 and PAR36? Big thank you to all of you guys, since we are a VERY rare group with these lighting systems and or XPs. The elite of the rarer Buell bikes and certainly collectors with good taste

I do not know reference your two questions. However I was in contact with Whelen today for specific intel with our application and part numbers. I was told that in theory we could have both flashing and steady burn, but would need an additional switch to use the different modes. I just got a reply back and could forward the info to your email. WARNING This is all experimental... |
