Big news is no TV coverage for AMA racing this weekend. The teams and sponsors were apparently unaware of this until yesterday. Crazy. On a more positive note: http://shorttracks.us/pro/2013/07/16/amsoils-ebrs- looking-for-laguna-luck-this-weekend/

Regarding the lack of TV coverage for AMA, I hope someone there will be able to cam-cord the races from one of the large screen monitors and share them later on the 'net. Hopefully down the line AMA Pro Live will have the Laguna races.

You watch- EBR will probably win this weekend, but most of us will never see it! I guess I could live with that.

They had a long segment on the local news (KSBW.com) last night recorded at Laguna Seca. They mentioned they would have reports and updates all weekend long, including video's.

Geoff May was again way slower the he was last year after FP1, Last year he was 3rd only behind Hayes and Hayden, this year he is 9th. Last year Hayes fastest lap was a 1:24.9 this year it was a 1:25.2,and Hayden's fastest lap last year was 1:25.2,and this year it was a 1:25.1, May's fastest lap last year was a 1:25.5,but this year his fastest lap was only a 1:27.2.

hey Amafan, what a well-grounded & informative post - a rarity across many threads..... I carefully watched the KTMs & EBRs go at it during live timing & have zero clue why 99's times are slower..... I'd rather look forward, anticipating that tomorrow the EBRs will be ahead of the KTMs!

I'm here at the track. During practice the EBRs caught up and passed the KTMs fairly easy. Yates was in 4-5th spot for 80# of the practice

Looks like Yates was going to have a very fast lap his splits were looking like a 1:25 lap ,but he either crashed or the bike broke . Hope he did not crash,he is almost 40,and just came back from his broken leg from 3 tears ago.

Sunday morning practice usually doesn't mean much as far as times. For instance Cory only took one lap this morning to bed in some new brake pads. He and others are saving their bullets for the race.

Most GP teams (even the lowest of the CRT brigade) have at least one spare bike or at least chassis in the paddock with them. The APR setup seems to be run on a shoestring budget, which really isn't the ay to go world championship racing really

Matt he really isn't racing the series. Hes developing a bike and using the 3 US rounds for real race feedback. So its not anything to frown on.
