I just ordered a set of 2 inch rox riser. and I was wandering if anyone could tell me if I will need to change out my cables. Or will there be enough length in the cables to compensate for the height difference. I was also wandering for those who already have them how you like them. | ||

Got a set of rox 2 inch risers and love them. No cable change you do have to pull up slack in the front brake line, don't worry they will fit. Where the front brake line touches the frame now at the neck, remove the clear tape and relocate it under the line after you install the risers, if the line touches the frame it will wear the coating. Also when you install them remove gauges and get a couple extra hex wrenches to cut and make short to make tightening riser clamps on bars easier. I got the hard to reach bolts tight first then torqued the rest. Checked the clamps by bumping forward and back for tightness after I was done. Felt a lot better on the arms and back worth every penny. Getting a set for my other ride now. Good luck. | ||

I have a 2008 XB12X. I tried the regular Rox 2" -- not the Buell specific ones. I couldn't get enough slack in the throttle cables without rerouting in a fashion that I was not entirely comfortable with. Perhaps my Uly has shorter than average throttle cables, or perhaps it was on account of using the regular Rox risers (whose fit on the Buell left a lot to be desired). Several folks (me included) gained the needed brake line slack by removing the clip that attached the brake line behind the shroud. That allowed me to fit the 2" risers with no cable issues. | ||

Another pair of hands to help hold the bars in place while you clamp them down will be nice to have. | ||

Thanks everyone sounds like I'm going to Really like them. I do have fairly long arms but I just can't get comfortable with the handle bars where there positioned at now. | ||

I recieved the rox riser in the mail today and installed them. It took about an hour to install them. The worst part about installing them was moving the brake line. Because I think they used glue on the 2 rubber bushings to hold the brake line in place. But all the lines & cables were plenty long enough. When I got done I took it out for a ride and I couldn't believe the difference In comfort it made. I can't believe I spent the past 5 years riding it without them. I wish I would have spent the money a long time ago on them. I highly recommend getting them if you don't already have them |
