The vin plate says it was built in September of 2008. So is it an 08 or an 09. The title says 09. Not having charging issues, but an 08 stator is different from an 09. How do tell without taking it apart? |

A bike built in September of 2008 is a 2009 model. Also, the 08 was only available with the blueish purple frame, 09/10 bikes were black frames. |

09 it is. Sweet, I have it out getting the rims and swing arm powder coated. Can't wait to get it back and ride it like I stole it. |

I am about to buy an 1125R and want to confirm if it is 08 or 09 - the VIN says it was made in May 2008 |

Any 2008 Buell will have "25th Anniversary" badging on the triple tree. Any 2008 1125R will have a blue frame and wheels. There is no 2008 1125CR, they came out in 09. Any 2009 1125 (R or CR) will have a black frame and wheels. |

Look At The Vin And Count Eight Numbers In From The Right. That's The Last Number In That Year On These |

To clarify and avoid any confusion, as there are several different shades of blue used on Buells, the 08 1125R was only available in one configuration, which is with black plastics and "Diamond Blue" frame and wheels that are purpleish. Starting in 09, all 1125s had the black frame, and the wheels vary in color depending on what plastics you got. If you got white plastics, the wheels were "Hero Blue", which is a nice bright royal blue color. 08 1125R:
09 1125R:
Also, when in doubt, check the VIN. The 10th character is the model year. 8 for 2008, 9 for 2009, A for 2010. |
