Might have an opportunity to hit Jennings early next year, but want I get some info from those of you who have been there. -heard it is rough on tires? -what's the paddock like? Power? Gravel? Etc. -what's the local area like? -it would be private track days, will I have an issue with sound levels-1125r with drummer? Thanks for the responses |

Tires- Depending on your level of experience, it can be rough on tires. However, even at the expert level a set of tires can last a 2 day weekend. It would be wise to flip them after the first day. Paddock- Has enough concrete pits areas to handle most any track day. Power in ever pit (however some don't work) Local area- In the sticks!!! Valdosta, Ga is the closest large city. Sound- Shouldn't have any issues. If you do, just figure a way to deflect the sound down or towards the rear wheel. Fun track for sure!! If I am off the weekend you come down I will try to get there. Also, look for Dynoworks privte track days. EXCELLENT value for the $$$!!! |

I can only speak from my limited novice track days. I found it just right for me, yes it's in the sticks and I found that quit relaxing. Very friendly atmosphere, lots of room in the paddock area and easy to back the trailer into the cement pits. My trailer door comes right down on it. I was able to pit where I wanted to give me the space I wanted. As a novice I felt there were lots of nice turns and short straights so for me I never was able to run my Buell X1 or Triumph Daytona 955i up to top speed. I had a blast and hope to be back soon!

That would be the easy option When things get more definite, then I'll start getting picky about details. Thanks for the pictures, overall looks like a fun track. |

Power is run to every concrete pit pad. It won't run an RV (it'll trip the breaker for the entire pit area). The power was out in 1 or 2 of the pits. Check before you set up. The also have a few full hook ups in the grass field and the treeline that will run an RV. |

there are a limited number of outlets at Jennings. i always bring a generator just in case there is a big crowd or i get there last. have fun! tim |

Careful there folks.... on the sound level. When I was there the dB rating was being lowered because of an irritable farmer who griped to the police. Mr. Brown (the owner at that time) was having folks muffle it to about 100db I think. Call the track or email them and , if possible, carry a muffler or silencer can with you. It has happened a number of times, getting to some tracks that are in the midst of an ugly civil protest and you cannot race because you do not have a silencer of some type.... just make something that will pass tech. |

Thanks for the input. the track is going to tell me the party line not what really happens. Also there appears to be a nonenforcement at track days versus actual races where it is enforced at tracks with a stated noise limitation. I've got some time to figure it out. Already have an idea on creating a sound deflector for the end of the muffler. I have a muffler on the bike, but it is a drummer so it is loud. Haven't compared it to the EBR/buell race exhaust, which I have heard EBR/buell had noise issues with at that track. |

The DB level is 104. In the last 5 years, I've not seen any issues any time I've been at the track (race day or track day). Not to say there haven't been any issue, but the paddock talks. |

I pitted for a BOTT Duc racer at Daytona in the early '80's. He got a sound test sticker on his muff body, then immediately put a bigger reverse cone on back in the garage. |
