American Sport Bike sells a repack kit. You drill the rivets that hold an endcap on, pack around the outside of the perforated core, and re-rivet the endcap in place. The factory kit is fiberglass. I pack mine with steel wool - the sound is a little throatier and it seems to last longer for me. |

try my way; http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/444831.html found this method online, used with some shotgun exhaust, a few others have tried it with a race can, and seems to work fine. |

Cheers guys sounds easy enough. My bike just threw the drive belt off today on the way to work so I'm not going to far until I can find the funds for a new one. |

sorry to hear your sidelined. Well now you have plunty of time to pack your muffler. I have used steele wool and it works well. Needs to be redone every year tho. Sleez method looks to be pretty slick. I will most likely be doing that next time. |
