You drill the rivets that hold an endcap on, pack around the outside of the perforated core, and re-rivet the endcap in place. The factory kit is fiberglass. Well now you have plunty of time to pack your muffler. I have used steele wool and it works well. Needs to be redone every year tho. Sleez method looks to be pretty slick. I will most likely be doing that next time.
