Well, I made it to Famous Sam's, but not until about 1:00... I shouldn't have told the cop I was headed for Tucson. He took his sweet ass time. Knocked the ticket down from criminal speeding though so I thanked him for that... 86 in a 65. I thought it was 75 all the way down 17. I guess not. Oh well, I can do traffic school so the points don't go on my license. I was considering heading up to Kitt's anyway, but figured if I missed you guys I'd have a COLD ride home so I just headed back. Anyway, sorry I missed you, I would MUCH rather have made it  . I suppose I'm glad that officer didn't catch me ten seconds earlier. I had just slowed down for a corner. I was probably about 115 just before that corner... Next time I'll leave earlier instead of speeding . | ||

M1Combat, I'm sorry we missed you. You must have been around Black Canyon City when you got pulled over. The curves are nice there, but the speed does drop to 65 there. You would have enjoyed the ride. I had a great time, I hope all who went did. here's some pics I took... hmmmm, what happens when you bottom out on an S1?  It will be no problem straightening it out. I'll have to adjust that preload back up a little bit. Keep an eye on the weather, supposed to be nice and warm on Wednesday and then cooling back down. If it's going to be 65+ i'll opt for a ride up north, maybe hook up with the Phoenix guys again. If it's going to be chilly, let's do Soniota and maybe Patagonia. what do you think, people? | ||

Hey Bart! Was that a dip, a pothole, or your spare tire that caused that bottom out???  J/K... It's a sad day in Buelldom.  Today, all of the Buells from Jim's HD went on a flatbed to Chandler HD/Buell. Jim's has closed it's doors to Buell here in Yuma. I'm distrought. My closest servicing Buell dealer is now Arrowhead in Peoria. One good thing came of it I guess. I got a Jardine exhaust for my wifes bike for $249 OTD. Not a bad deal. I didn't research the pipe. Maybe I should've. But when it all boils right down to it, my wife doesn't care about the performance aspect, her 9R's already got more than she can handle; she just wanted to be louder. Charlie, It was a series of whoops at high speed that caused me to bottom out. That and this enormous BEER gut!!! Bummer to hear that your local shop is closing it's doors to Buell. That sucks. Once you get that Warranty done, you can start taking the bike to Chandler Custom Cycles in Chandler. They are very Buell friendly and their rates are fair. Did that shop still have that X1 you were drooling over? You know, AL still has his for sale... Ride hard, ride free, and ride to LEAN! | ||

Nope, Jim's sold that X-1 right as I was ready to buy.  Bought a truck instead. Now I'm wishing I'd bought a bike. I'm fiending and my wife is irking that I take her's all the time. Like I said in an earlier post. I'm going to sell my dune buggy, pay off my boat, and hopefully come out far enough ahead to get the X-1 or M-2. I NEED A BIKE! BADLY! Funny how Buelling becomes a need isn't it? People at work don't understand... Charles P.S. How much for AL's X1?? | ||
